      I recently had an ************ at one of the stores. I have since been back to the mall and noticed the poster in the window does say free ************ with purchase of an ************ kit. That's all fine but why couldn't the employee say to me with the purchase of the earring you are choosing your total for kit will be $65. At that point I definitely would have rethought my decision. No one told me the cost. I checked my receipt when I arrived home and was shocked , I also was disturbed with flu outbreaks and covid that employee did not wash her hands or wear gloves. I have contacted Claire's customer support and only reply I receive is no refund on ************ kits and they are closing my case. At this point I am looking for an apology and some kind of refund.

      I have been going back and forth with email support. I left a review on Claire's website, which they deleted because it was not positive, and was asked to email my issues to customer support. I explained my problem. My daughter got her ears pierced on June 1, 2024. 3 days later, her ear rings fell apart and her holes grew up because of this. I have explained as nicely as I can and tried to be decent as possible. All they want to do is offer a "free piercing" which isn't free. I paid for it. It's not my fault their ear rings are cheap. I didn't even ask for a refund forreal. I asked for a $70 store credit which is what I paid for the piercing. That way my child can buy something in place of this piercing kit. They refuse, and state only the re-****** is available. But why would I even want my child to get her ears done by a place that the ear rings are cheap and poorly made. I do not recommend Claire's to any little hopeful girl and I wouldn't even leave a 1 Star but I have to pick one. This is a horrible company and the customer service is just as bad.

      I wouldn't select any stars if this let me .. I was planning to shop at the **** ***************** location in Riverdale. I arrived at the store at 10:56am, noting the store opens at 11am. As soon as I pulled in, another vehicle pulled alongside me and I watched the lady walk into the store. I assumed she worked there and needed some time to open the store, so I waited until 11:05am to try to enter. The door was locked, so I waited outside, all while watching this employee talk on her phone and ignore me. She knew I was waiting though, because at 11:09am, I took a video of the store hour sign and she charged the door. Before I could speak a word, she began to yell at me, saying the store was closed. I tried to tell her the sign said it opens at 11, but before I could finish my sentence, she preceded to yell, "I know what the sign says, but our system is down. It is extremely rude of you to take photos of me (which I did not), and you are too old to be doing that. You should know better." Again, before I could provide a response, she continued on to say, "Do not come back here, because I will not be serving you. "I am stunned to say the least. She was extremely unprofessional from what she was wearing, to ignoring me while I was waiting, and then went way too far by yelling at me. I am appalled someone like that would be hired to work with customers. After researching this store more, I am not the only one who experienced this. I did call and leave a message with your **************** line and filled out a form on your website; aside from a basic response they would call me, they never did. Never have I ever been so insulted by someone, let alone a customer service representative. When we went to get our kids ears' pierced there a month ago, we were told the system was down as well and others said they weren't open during store hours... not sure how they stay in business.

      The company does not honor its return to store policy. Do not purchase online items with the expectation that they will refund you the cost by returning to a local store.

      I attempted to place an order on the website for Claire's they declined my transaction said that my card was no good but still took the money out of my account and they're refusing to reverse the transaction because my bank says it's going to take 8 days to get it this is ridiculous I will never shop at Claire's again and they're refusing to help me the lady on the telephone said that there was nobody else above her that could do anything about it and refuse to transfer me to anybody else this is not good customer service

      The location is inside of ******* and has numerous posts that say "free ear piercing...its out thing". One sign said "free ear piercing (with starter set in really small letters...which...why are you hiding that's theres a cost). I certainly expected to pay SOMETHING. They asked me if I wanted the rapid healing for $10 more. Mt daughter is 11 months old...so yes. They ask me to initial the paperwork (still never telling me any price besides $10...which I was expecting to pay maybe $30). I look at maybe the 8th bullet point down and see its $85!! That's DISGUSTING to advertise something as free that costs almost $100. Shameful!!! My daughter and I share the same b day. It was our b day weekend so I thought getting her ears pierced could be cool. This was such a disappointment and waste of time. You need to tell people what the price is because even if I signed that paperwork (having not read it...*******)...I would NOT HAVE PAID THE $! Stop being SNEAKY and be TRANSPARENT

      We came to get our daughter's ears pierced and as soon as I walked through the unlocked doors a girl yelled at me from behind the counter that they were closed. We made an appointment and left our number and no one had contacted us. It was 6:35 pm and the store was closing early due to weather. That was totally understandable, but to have someone yell at you and then not even apologize for the inconvenience of driving out to be turned away from a store that looked open is just bad customer service.Suggestions: 1. If you are closing the store early, look online to see if you have pending appointments and kindly notify them. I was honoring the appointment I made and drove out to the store just for that appointment. We didnt go anywhere else.2. I had noticed other stores placing signs up notifying customers of the early closures followed by an apology for the inconvenience. That was a nice, professional touch.3. If you are closing early, perhaps lock your doors to anticipate customers who clearly do not know you are closing. With the lights on and doors open, it looks open. If customers do come in, kindly step out from behind the counter and let them know you are closing due to weather. If I could drive to the mall with no problems, its not so obvious that stores would close early. Especially when most of them were still open.

      Worst ear piercing experience ever. DO NOT GO TO CLAIRE'S!! Go to a reputable tattoo/piercing shop please!!! My 8 year old earned her own money to get her ears pierced. I had to argue with the girl doing it, telling her they weren't even ... ultimately, the ears got pierced but were crooked (as I had stated several times throughout the process). We took them out about two hours later with my daughter crying because she looked forward to this for so so long. I understand that piercings are "non-refundable", but in this case, when I had to argue with the staff and they STILL ended up looking terrible ... there should absolutely be a refund. My daughter did not want claire's to ****** her ears again. So, I fought with the manager and customer service over and over again. I made 3 trips to the store (45 min drive for me) for my "customer service approved" refund and each time it was denied saying the store never got the email for the approval. Spoke with the manager of the store and she insisted we come back in and get them redone and it would be fine. No. Not when customer service told me my daughter would get her $58 back. $58 for junk earrings and a crappy experience all around. It took several days of contacting the manager and customer service, but almost a month later, my daughter did get a refund. I will NEVER step foot in this store again for anything. I'll gladly support a local piercing shop that will do a stellar job the first time around.

      I placed an order back in July and have yet to receive it. I contacted customer service multiple times only to be told I would be issued a refund, but not my items. The items are now sold out and they absolutely refuse to make good on it by trying to locate and reship the items. This is bad business and Claires should be ashamed of themselves!! They are cheaters and thieves!!

      In reference to ************************************************************************ Employees posting hand written signs saying "on break, be back at 6" and not reopening the store. I waited for over 2 hours. Knocked on the door even, nothing...No one in sight. So I call as I'm getting in my car to leave the mall. A rude young lady finally answers the phone and I tell her that I have been waiting, she simply laughed and said.. we have been in here the whole time. I was like.. No! You weren't. Laughing again... well we are here now she goes on to say. It is now 6:58 pm they close at 7pm. So at this pointy I now realize that the Employees are just being lazy. It was a Friday night, and they just wanted to be out the door at closing time. I left a message with Claire's **************** and have no received a call back yet. It has been almost a week now.

      Called Claire's Corporate phone number. Was able to send a message to the distinct Manger of that area. I should receive a phone call in up to 72 hours. I'll keep my fingers crossed on this one. I will update this review after and or if I receive the phone call.
