We regularly get no response from this business about open concerns.We need to resolve elevator inspections requirements for us to be current within the jurisdiction but they fail to follow up.They could not fix our service elevator in late February, left without providing details of the problem, have been unresponsive in getting this information to us and also the plans to resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

We have had elevator issues for over 2 weeks which resulted in a battery needing to be replaced. After the battery was replaced the elevator in our building has been randomly trapping people in the elevator, going to wrong floors and simply not working correctly. **** has been out 4 times and the elevator has not been repaired correctly. This is a company that simply does not care, has ridiculous contracts, and just wants to rake in money.Initial Complaint

KONE has been the elevator service company for elevator in my restaurant for several years.I employ them to maintain the elevator. It is used by handicapped customers and staff.In July of 2022, the solenoid failed and the elevator was no longer operational.KONE suggested a "soft start" solenoid, I was told the repair could be done in a couple of weeks.After no activity for several weeks, I contacted KONE to get a status update.They said the "soft start" solenoid was on back order.A couple of weeks later ( now September 2022) I informed KONE that I would pass on any ADA ********* i got to them, due to the lengthy lag in their repair.As soon as I said ADA *********, KONE sent a tech with parts that made my elevator operational.The tech also forgot to reset a breaker, so the elevator had no light inside ( I diagnosed this my self )The current situation is that my elevator works, but I have no idea what parts have been installed.I paid KONE **** dollars deposit for installation of a soft start solenoid, back in the summer of 2022.I have been in touch with several KONE people, they still want to collect the full amount for the initial repair.I want to just have the elevator working properly, and never have to deal with KONE ever again -******************* Owner ********* Restaurant **************************************Initial Complaint

We hired Kone Elevators to do a job, and paid them a deposit to do it. After weeks of not showing up when they said they would, they said they would need an additional deposit in order to start the necessary repairs. Since their service was terrible and they did not show up when promised, we asked them to cancel the contract and return our deposit. They refuse to return our deposit despite the fact that they have not done any work.We hired another company to do the job, and they have already completed it.
