This door was installed April 21, 2021. We were assured that this custom-made door with marine-grade poly coat would last well beyond five years with no maintenance. After install, we noticed we could see daylight on either side of the door. A blue "puffy" sticker is stuck between the window and moulding that is visible that we cannot remove. On the exterior, the wood has begun to split and crack. Trim has shifted to expose untreated wood that is now exposed to the elements. Upon further inspection, hinge plates are missing several screws in each plate. Paint is chipping and peeling at threshold on both sides of the door. This wood is also chipping, cracking, and shifting on the interior of the door as well. We paid over $3,000.00 for this door as we were promised it's superior construction and ability to stand up to our specific condition and outdoor elements. It is failing to meet expectations as promised.
