When Tee Time overseeded our lawn, they spread grass seed on the sidewalk, patio, driveway and flower gardens and ivy plots. the grass grew in the flowers and ivy. When we complained Tee Time offered to spray kill our ivy so we could replant the ivy that had been there for 50 years. Then they informed us that they couldn't aerate the back yard due to machine size, but they had done it the previous years. My complaint was forwarded to a ***, who asked that I get bids for the grass in ivy removal. No lawn service wanted to give a bid due to the extent of the problem. I asked *** to simply give us our money back for the year, since Tee Time couldn't perform the work and did so much damage, *** stated that he would get right back with us, and never did. Tee Time sent us a check for $156, when we were expecting $950. Upon conversation, we were told that ******* caused the damage and he was fired, and if we would do business with Tee Time again, they would be glad to spray kill our plots of ivy.Business response

Last April, 2022, Tee Time damaged a significant amount of our plants, shrubs and trees by applying a new never tested formula of fertilizer/bug spray to our trees, plants and shrubs. The damage has been significant. All through the spring, summer, fall and winter they promised to reimburse me for damages and money we already spent in replacing some plants, trimming of dead trees, huge water bills (they suggested we water heavily to get rid of the fertilizer) soil, and money we shelled out to landscapers. I received a letter from them outlining costs incurred and it was signed by their sales and marketing manager. After many calls inquiring about the check which was dated October 19th, they have failed to send me the money as promised. They amount owed to me is $3370.97 which does not even include any further damage should I lose more trees in spring. They looked dead all summer but Tee Time tried to assure me they would come back to life. Not sure how anything dead can return to life. Wouldn't that be a miracle.Initial Complaint

Similar to previous complaints. We moved in fall 2022. We started receiving bills from T time lawncare despite notifying them by my daughter my POA and my wifes and her self. Despite this they continued to apply the lawn application in January 2023???? Current owner never saw them come, which would have been trespassing. We told them multiple times via phone we do not live there we notified them via phone and mail. They are stealing elderly peoples money and our lawn looked horrible. Grass dead, weeds everywhere. They never applied applications. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!Business response

We ended our contract with the company at the end of the 2022 lawn care season. The company was notified of this as they were the ones that called us. Starting in March of 2023 they treated our yard for the first time. We thought it was an error so didn't say anything as it was the first of the season. However, they returned again the following month and asked us to pay for both treatments. It was then that we called to explain why they were treating our lawn, not notifying they were even coming, when they knew we had cancelled services with them back in November. The woman on the phone demanded we provide a reason for cancelling services. My became aggravated as he didn't think he needed to provide a reason other than we just didn't want to move forward with their services since we had told them this in November. She continued to press and then hung up on my husband when he became irate as he felt we were being held hostage by this lawn care company. We found out through my sister in law that they had mistakenly called her as she uses them as well to berate her and cancel her account with them. We had to call back and escalate it to a manager who would "handle it" only after my husband would apologize to them. I even emailed them directly explaining everything and stating we had cancelled and upheld our end of the agreement by notifying them with ample time and that we were not paying the payment. We are now in August and they have returned to harass us for payment again. We aren't sure what to do at this point as they seem to not know how to manage their backend system.Business response

We had been loyal customers of TeeTime for our lawn care for several years with no complaints. Our lawn was beautiful. We went with them because they were pet friendly products. Starting in 2019, I noticed weeds moving into the lawn. I would contact TeeTime to come take care of them as was part of the contract. The weeds kept getting worse, and Id keep calling. Back in ************************************************* and see the lawn. We had a long talk as I was ready to stop using. He informed me that he had to pre-purchase all the products for season without having it all sold for customers. Asked me to give him another chance. I agreed. That was in June. Come August my lawn was worse. New management again. They said theyd over seed and the lawn would be fine. The next season my lawn showed no improvement. Now there were bare patches. Id continue to ask them to fix the damage they caused with either no one calling me back or responding to the emails I sent with photos of my lawn. Finally, almost a year ago, I spoke with a woman who informed me they were not going to fix my lawn. Yet about a week later their sales team called me to book my lawn care!!! I just want to have my lawn back. I asked them to do the right thing and restore the damage they caused starting in 2019 when it was just a bit of weeds. Photos attached to show how horrible my lawn looks and we are the first house at the entrance of our subdivision. There is no HOA. I have many more photos of the damage.Business response

Hello
In response to this claim from ***************, we feel that the claims are false and that the pictures of her lawn are not direct result of any damage done by Tee Time Lawn Care. The last time we serviced lawn at her property was 6/30/2020 and the account has been cancelled since October 5, 2020 by our operations manager. I am including the last conversation we had with homeowner and the treatment we did for her on that day. Her issue was not on her lawn but in her flower beds that we do not treat unless we have a signed waiver on hand.
"From ***** Hand:
1 - 08/27/2020 04:55 PM - SHD - Z:
I went out to customers house back in mid july to walk the property with her and talk about why she was wanting to cancel. She was unhappy with the amount of thistle she had in her flower beds. I told her that this is a thing we can treat, but we need the waiver signed before a technician would just treat that with every application. I sprayed the thistle that day while I was there, and completely covered everything for her. She said she just wanted everything on hold for now until the end of the year and we will discuss going further."Due to the above we are not responsible for any issues homeowner is having in her lawn as its been almost three years since we treated.

I am rejecting this response because: this issue was not about my flower beds. It was that the damage to my lawn was causing the weeds to invade my flower beds. Each time I contacted Tee Time, their story changed. I had a very detailed conversation with the new manager ***** about the issues I was having since 2019. I was requested to send pictures several times, which I did so that they could see what was going on. NO ONE replied to me. I called every time they came out after a week when there was no change to the weeds and thistle in my yard. That's when ***** FINALLY came out to see for himself. It was at that time, he asked me to give him another chance in July to fix my lawn. He stated that he had to purchase all his supplies ahead of time with the hopes of being able to get customers to purchase the services or be stuck. He told me that they purchased different products to have better results. I gave them until October to fix this. I called and **** told me that they would only reseed my property. I explained that more needed to be done as there were bare spots all over and seeding wasn't working. They have fought us on this the whole way. I have a record of all the calls I've made to them. The emails as well that were not replied to as well. If they had just fixed the issue when it first started, this would not be a concern. I trusted them as they had been doing a great job up until 2019. Then there were a few changes to management and everything went downhill. I watched as one time the guy doing the treatment, skipped the entire back area of my property. There are so many things that Tee Time is not owning up to. We have asked over the years for assistance and I canceled due to frustration over their lack of concern. We paid them each time for services that never met the results they said it would. My friends, neighbors all have commented on the look of the lawn. As I mentioned we are the first house in the subdivision so our lawn is what everyone sees. We will take to having signs out that Tee Time took care of the lawn and this is what is now looks like. We have not yet, but will take to social media as well to show the lack of care and concern to their customers. All we are asking is that they step up and take ownership of the damaged lawn that has gotten worse. I no longer want them to service the lawn as they didn't fix the issue back in 2019. We are in the process of hiring a company to fix the damage caused by Tee Time. We will accept a resolution, if Tee Time refunds us the cost for this service.
Sincerely,

I hired this company a year ago to do a one time treatment to my lawn. They provided the treatment I paid them to do and left. This year in August they showed up to my home and was going to provide the service again, luckily I was able to stop them. I had just had new sod installed and did not request any services from them. As soon as I told them I did not want their service, the crew became rude and aggressive. I filed a police report and requested they never come back. I am now getting billed for that service that they never completed. I did not request or receive this service and want them to remove it form their database immediately.Business response

Tee Time lawn care is billing for service at a property that was sold last year (November 2021). Service was rendered in march 2022. I never signed a contract for service. They claim auto renewal which was never notified tome. In the past I pre-paid them yearly, I do not have contract but have attached a ****. I spoke with a person (***************************) at their office. She admitted that I never signed contract. She claims that a message was left on a phone that was disconnected *************)Business response

I sincerely apologize that this has not been resolved. Our Services do automatically renew from season to season unless we are notified, but I am removing the balance on your account. This matter should have been brought to higher attention sooner, and I apologize that it has not.Customer response

In April, 2022, I wrote a check for $57.61 to this company and mailed it. When it cleared my account, the check had been washed and completely altered, written for over $300 to an individual. I filed a police report and called the company. They told me that a similar incident had occurred with another customer a couple months prior to this incident. Still thinking it was an isolated problem, I wrote a 2nd check in the same amount and mailed it. Again, it was washed and written, this time for over $600 a different individual. The handwriting on the checks was very different. When we called the company again, they mentioned that their mailbox had been broken into 'while back' but that they had had it investigated and didn't believe any employee was involved. The fact that it happened twice with the same business, that all of our other checks have cleared properly, and that the company admitted to two separate mail-related issues, is all VERY concerning. I don't know if they plan to investigate further but I have ended my relationship with them as I cannot trust that my mail will be received. Regardless how I pay them, this is an issue either within their business or with their mail and others should be aware.
