Hired to do roofing job, took over a year, finally came on Aug 17 and did the house. However the small shed which was on the quote has not been finished and there is still junk to pick up. They have not returned. They will not return messages or phone calls, two days ago someone at the office answered the phone and was supposed to call back and never did. There is probably only about 4 hours work remaining. They have been paid in full. I just want the job finished.Initial Complaint

Received a quote dated September 30, 2022 to replace our porch windows, totaling $12,385.87 with an estimated lead time of 16-18 weeks. We deposited $6,194.93. We have now waited 41 weeks at this point. Over the past 4 months we've received many apologies for this delay but lately Mr. ****** has quit communicating. We now wish to cancel this project with our refund returned. . We've communicated this in writing and calls but have received no response. Your help will be appreciated! Thanks!Customer response

Re ************** Window project HI: Received a note from ****** ****** apologizing for not getting back to me related to the 41 week delay with the porch window project. He is asking for another 4 weeks due to supplier issues and providing a discount for the delay. My wife and I are considering options and will notify him when we make our decision. Thanks for your help!

Hello ****, I am so sorry that this project hasn't gone as planned. We have been having supplier issues and we have been communicating with you as much as possible. With the supplier issues that is out of our control, and we are still very sorry for that. My office manager has been communicating with you through this process. Again, we are very sorry about this whole situation we wish it didn't happen like this. We will be issuing you a refund. Again, so sorry for this.Business response

HI: This is just a note related to Complaint #********. At the request of the company, BuildRite Pro, my wife and I drove up to Princeton, IL and met with the owner, ****** ****** related to the deposit refund we requested after waiting for 42 weeks to have this porch window project completed. The original quote was for 15-18 weeks lead time beginning September 30, 2022.
****** told us the refund was sent on August 11, 2023 and put in a rural mailbox on that day. He has no idea why we didn't get it. So he wrote a duplicate check for $6.194.93 which we deposited on August 30.
So thanks to all the BBB staff for stepping in to resolve this issue! This has been a pretty stressful 11 months trying to either get the job underway and eventual cancellation refund. ****** was apologetic for his supplier issue and understood our request for cancellation of the job. Long story short, we will NEVER put 50% toward any further projects we may undertake.
Thanks again to all the staff at BBB for help us out with this.
