Purchased 6/14/2024 a used 2018 **** focus - $8,000- listed online. We put $4,000 check down, financing the remaining. After purchase driving home, our son heard scraping sounds coming from left front tire. We took car back to have them fix, according to owner mechanic stated they fixed a loose bracket. Took the car to a family mechanic after we got home, who found multiple issues underneath the vehicle, and found car has been in multiple wrecks with much damage, dents, ripped metal, and entire front alignment system bent. Parts to the vehicle were also found under floor in trunk where spare tire is. Our mechanic stated to take it back, as it will cost us more to repair , as car was idling very hard. I called inquiring getting money back to return vehicle and was told there are no refunds or returns unless there is a transmission problem. Discussed with owner all the above complaints, in addition to the engine idling loud, horn not working, key lock not working, etc with an email of pictures showing the damage and concerns of our mechanic. The owner stated would only get us the key fixed and we could not get our money back . Would like to know how they can continue to sell vehicles like this and get away with it.

Customer bought the car under market price for almost $2000, was checking that car 2 times and we explain that car is cheaper thats why price is lower anyway fix couple issues like a windshield, some suspension, also addition key. Car has a good engine and transmission, and customers know all the car's small problems because the car was inspected. Also the customer was agreed on everything, but later changed her mind and already posted tons of reviews everywhere where can.
      Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:if the mechanic thoroughly inspects the car as you stated , why are all these problems this  bad underneath? Why is the alignment off and radiator bent in? Because when a customer looks at a car, they understand its used, but not to the point where we were so misled until I took it to a mechanic that afternoon. The customer cannot inspect under the car when they buy it, but my mechanic stated it would cost well over $4,000 to start fixing. He stated that would be just the  beginning, as with these cars with multiple problems, that car has been in more than one minor accident.  I even asked for a refund the day after stating why I was uncomfortable keeping the car as my son would be driving it, you would not give me our $4,000 back, therefore you knew what you were hiding. If its such a great car, good engine, why dont you want it back?  I am requesting a refund , or would settle for $3,000 refund back to return the car.

      Sincerely,

Dear customer, the car was purchased $3700 less then market price, additionally we replaced windshield per your request, and made a new key for you, the car runs and drives good, no engine or transmission issues. You purchased a good car for a great value, there is no returns, and we cant compensate You anything, we already helped you out with covering all expenses for the key and windshield.

      Complaint: 22224197

I am rejecting this response because: Unfortunately you sold us a car with many problems, a car with a cracked windshield, no working remote key, extensive damage underneath, bent front wheel axel causing extensive wear on both tires already, faulty tire sensor light that wont turn off, non working car horn, stripped lug nuts , bent in radiator, along with hissing door from the right rear door that doesnt close properly with parts still sitting in trunk.    If that is what you call a good car, then I wished we never would have done business with you. It was your obligation to fix the windshield and key, that should have been fixed prior to sell. I also wish we could have taken the car to our mechanic before we bought it, but you only allowed a short test drive with your other salesman sitting in the back only taking us around the block at a maximum 30 mPh.  We are NOT satisfied customers, and your responses have still NOT addressed our issues.

      Sincerely,
