customer is correct on the dates of drop off date and pickup, told him it will be a while for we are very busy, he said no rush has another car.    But what he failed to tell you is that the car came in with no plates so that seemed odd, He asked is there a diag fee, i said yes 1 hour ****** to diag, but if he does the work it gets absorbed into the cost of repairs. he said ok.   He stopped by the day before he randomly showed up to pick up his car to get some things out of it.  He didn't ask anything about the car, but i told him we are checking later today expect a call from me later today or tomorrow with the diagnosis of the vehicle.  he seemed unbothered and left.  So we checked the car that night before we left, stayed an hour after and found out that the gas engine was destroyed reason being why it wouldnt start on the gas but drove only on electric mode, this is a hybrid vehicle , so runs on both and that was complaint on why he brought it in. so he cam in the following morning before i was done with estimate to pick up the car. I said well we did find out that it needs an engine. he said ok, didn't want pricing says he has it sold already, he buys and sells cars. I then said well there is a125$ diag fee. He didn't like that, well you were aware of this i said he said yea but you didn't call.  I said we just spoke yesterday and checked car late and wasn't done with estimate because by the time i was done checking, the used engine companies are closed and had to wait til today. He said he doesn't want it fixed has it sold and thats when he told me again he buys and sells cars.  I have this feeling he was just using my shop as a storage place to leave a car he bought to sell. Cause not once did he call about the car or come in and ask about it.. He just came in to take something out of it and didn't even ask, I HAD TO SAY HEY well be checking today, i'll call you later or tomorrow depending on what we find.  and like i said he didn't seem to care, and just left. But he never gave me a chance to call him cause he came in early the following morning.  I don't know what else to say we have a minimum 125$ diag fee for everything on major mechanical and electrical and there are signs in our office that state this. We don't work for free here , well no one does.  Apparently he thinks so. and like i said he didn't even want estimate. i had the labor done but not the price of the engine casue i was waiting to hear back from the used engine shop, cause those engines are hard to find cause they are hybrids and hard to get..
