On Monday May 16 2022 I called A1 lock because I accidentally locked myself out of my house and I needed to be let back in. I called abs asked how much it would be to have someone come unlock my front door and I was told $35. I didn’t have the $35 but I planned on using zip pay to pay for it. The technician comes out and can’t unlock any of my doors. They send someone else out who also cannot unlock my door. I was already late picking my son up from school and I needed to leave immediately. So after I asked some questions about some of the tools they had I used my ID (which damaged it) to get in my house in less than 2min. I asked if I still had to pay them because I got myself in my house & they said yes. It’s still $35. I made some jokes about my being added to their team because I did their job better than them but I was still willing to pay. My zip payment didn’t work but I explained my situation to the technician about my situation and gave him my card number and asked if he could run it on Friday when I got paid. Low and behold I get a notification that my account is over drawn this morning and guess who over drew it? A1 locksmiths & not even for the full $35 charge. It was for $24.47! I’m only left to assume that these people do dishonest business quite or are just dishonest people period because if an agreement was made why was it not respected? I held up my end of the bargain and gave them my card info with no hesitation and instead of being charged the full amount it was for something cheaper, when I asked if it could just be free since I got my own self in my house and it not only could’ve been but should’ve been since the $35 charge was negotiable.
