After failing an emission test, I bought my car to *************** in *****, **. (a suggested repair shop by the Emissions Testing Facility) They charged me $346 to replace a sensor to pass the Emissions test. They told me to drive 60 miles under 60mph. I Drove the car & bought it back to them with dashlights lightS still on. They worked on the car again & got the dashboard lights off. I drove a few ************* came back on. I immediately turned around & they told me to take the car to Toyota.About 10/23/23 I was assured by ************************* (Toyota service consultant) that (*************************** who's been there for several decades and worked on my car) would figure out the problem. I paid the 1st mandatory/inspection fee of $190 and waited for my next S.S Disability check to pay $674, for what I thought would be the final payment, instead of using their suggestion of ******?? (Low interest loan) After Toyota 's service, I got a text from them saying "Everything was Green/Great & no additional services were needed." I'm thinking that the car problems were fixed. I was told to drive the car for 7 ********* take the emissions test. This didn't make sense ( I could drive my car to the end of the way & back for 7 days) I drove it for 60 miles & again failed the emissions test On Nov 16, 2023. They did something?? to the car & told me to drive 350 **** miles & return for reinspection if light comes back on. The dashboard lights came on after mile 35. Bought the car back to Toyota & was inspected 11/27/23 and was given a new bill of $2,495. I gave A-1 Auto AND Orland Park Toyota enough money to fix my car & pass the Emissions Test. The only thing I asked them to do was make my car PASS the emissions test. Now they will probably retaliate by damaging my car so that it will break down after so many .miles of use. I JUST WANT MY CAR FIXED WELL ENOUGH TO PASS THE EMISSIONS TEST by December 31, 2023Initial Complaint

I took my car to OrlandToyota on November 28th to reset my ics malfunctionlight since it was in an accident. Insurancehas paid for it and the repair was complete. 3 months down the road the ics malfunction light comes back on again out of nowhere. I took it to the service department, explained my issue and told them I had no intention of paying because they were the ones who touched my car last and this was not my fault. I requested a loaner car since I knew this service was going to take all day. They denied my request and gave me a shuttle. Furthermore I gave them the contact to the owner of the body shop and they were asking for 400 dollars and recommended a 700 dollar charge as well for labor and taking a look at the car with myics malfunction light still being on. I then contacted the dealership and they were not going to give me my car untili paid 175 plus tax PLUS an 1 hour of labor. I then was forced to pay the fee get my car back and my light changed from ics malfunction to parking assist malfunction. not only was i charged for a service that wasn't performed but on top of that my light changed from one thing to another. I had a similarissue with a transmission problem I had to which i was still on the warranty and the solution they came out to was to change my battery . They charged me 300 bucks to change it, claimed the problem was fixed and I drove off the lot with Christmas lights on my dashboard. I never had an issue resolved with my car they will just drain your pockets and won't fix your issues.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2022RAV4 that was ordered by the sales man ****** of Orland Toyota, which was ordered twice the first time he ordered it he said that it was damaged and that he had to send it back and order me another one so I said fine that I would wait for the other one, he called me on Monday Aug 28th at 11:00 O'CLOCK and told me to come to Orland Toyota dealership and pick up my new 2022 RAV4 so I told him that I was at work and wouldn't get off until 3 O'CLOCK he said fine just make sure that you are here by 4:30 and I said sure I will be there at that time. I arrive at 4:15 and greeted ****** and he said that he would be with me shortly he had a customer ahead of me so I said fine I will just have a seat until you're ready sir, while sitting there I noticed that the car that I was purchasing had a sign in the window with my name on it saying sold to ***************************, I also seen another salesman showing the truck to someone else who he sold the vehicle to while removing my name from the window, so I said ****** what's going on and he said that the truck can still be yours if you can give me ten thousand dollars and I said but the truck is already mines because I had you to order it for me and he said sorry that's how life goes you win some and you lose some those are the breaks. I told him that was very poor customer service and that he was very rude. So I am seeking justice for the way I was treated please.Business response

I went to Orland Toyota to purchase a new vehicle. When I arrived to the dealership I was welcomed in by a couple of associates. After the greeting, I worked with a sales representative on finding a new vehicle. I test drove the vehicle and shortly after I was told by the sales representative that he has to prepare documents for the vehicle. I told the sales representative I did not want the dealership to process a credit application. He asked that I sign the document for Orland Toyota to process a credit check. I immediately said no and I didn't sign the document that authorizes the dealship to process a credit application. The sales representative walked over to the finance office to process documents for the selected vehicle. I had been waiting for hours and after the sale representative came over to me to go over financing options. I asked the representative several times if Orland Toyota checked my credit without my consent. He told me he would let me speak to the finance manager that was responsible for processing my documents. The finance manager was very rude and after speaking with I was told the company processed a credit application without my consent. I was told that I gave consent the minute I stepped into the dealership. I asked the finance manager if I could have a copy of the documents. I was told that they refused to give me the documents. I then asked of I could speak to the if I can have the number to their corporate office. I was told no. I asked for a business card since the finance manager told me that I couldn't get any of the requested information. He gave me his business card. Attached is the card I received.Business response

This guest came to the store with intentions of buying a car. She provided her full name, address, time at the address, date of birth, social security number, drivers license number, phone number, employer name, address and phone number, income, years of education, time on the job. Wrote her signature on the buyers worksheet/first pencil.
She simply forgot to sign the credit application or intentionally didnt sign.
Looking for us to correct her credit as a settlement is unreasonable and unnecessary. In my opinion we honestly dont think we impacted/harmed her credit. We were unable to get her approved. Orland Toyota considers this matter closed.Customer response

I purchased a vehicle from Orland to Toyota on 11 March 2022. When I purchased this vehicle I was given the impression it had been inspected and was safe to drive. On March 16th 2022 the check engine light came on. When it was taken to a mechanic I was told it needs thousands of dollars in repairs. Including but not limited to springs, bearings, a new EGR cooler, new def filters, ect... In order for this car to be driven I will have to put thousands of dollars into it. I want to keep the car however I feel I was misled by the dealership. That stated this car was inspected by its mechanics and okay to drive. I do not feel this vehicle will be safe to drive until these repairs are completed. The vehicle is currently being looked at by ******* in ******. I will provide any documentation necessary to show how much repair work needs to be done to this supposedly inspected safe to drive vehicle.Business response

******* is creating a situation in which they would benefit by selling a lot of unnecessary repairs. Although the vehicle is thirteen years of age with ****** miles it passed a safety inspection performed by a certified automotive technician. The vehicle was sold as is, no warranty. The customer declined to purchased the optional service agreement offered.

I paid ***** for a car that I was ensured had been inspected by your mechanics to be safe to drive. Despite my husband and I both voicing concerns. We were once again reassured by the salesman and manager that all vehicles are safe to drive and inspected by mechanics.
Then we went to the purchase office where we were offered a warranty for $1900. Which we agreed to get, but I told the finance guy I needed a few days to get the money together. He stated that was fine and I had 30 days to do so, just to give him a call to set up an appointment. Well I attempted to call him 3 times to come in and pay for the $1900 dollar warranty. Finally after about a week of leaving messages and never receiving a call back we drove to Toyota. When I spoke to the finance guy that was working that day a different one than the one I purchased the vehicle with. I was told the warranty would be nearly $**** and the cheapest one they could offer was $3000. I was told at then end of the conversation that the finance guy I spoke with originally would call me in the morning. Yet again never received a call.
Cue check engine light turning on that evening. I took the car to ********** and had the light checked. Turned out to be the def filter, EGR, and a whole bunch of items that make the engine run correctly.
Took it to ******* in ******. Had them check the car out because of the check engine light. As they were doing a vehicle inspection they came across the fact thatmy front suspension is shot, which is dangerous. It needed new springs ,mounts and suspension bearings among other things.
So now I have been without a car that was guaranteed to work, run and rldrive safely for me by the Toyota dealership, that would have been under a full extended warranty and being fixed by Toyota if they had A. Not lied and disclosed any defects upon the of purchase when we voiced concerns about the vehicle. And B. Not lied about the price of the warranty and tried to pushed into a **** dollar warranty after telling me I had 30 days to purchase it at the price of $1900.
All of which my husband was a witness to. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Ps. Don't have the final price on repairs yet, but will gladly provide receipts when I get themInitial Complaint

Read the persons concern. Since nothing specific or details were provided we really cant determine what the problem is and for that reason no solution is being offered. Too vague to address.

I purchased a new Toyota Tacoma from Orland Toyota in Orland Park IL, unfortunately, they defrauded me for 4000$ by tricking me into signing something in a digital pad. They sold me products I dis not want to purchase, and after going back the next day, all they had to say is why did you sign the paperwork. They are dishonest, bunch of real a** holes.Business response

This individual was not tricked into doing anything. He wasn't rushed into doing anything either. Appears he has buyers remorse. Documentation was explained and signed by this individual. Came back later in the day to drop off the extra key for his trade in along with some spare parts and wasn't upset at all. Really don't appreciate the poor choice and use of his vulgar slang/language towards our employees..
