*****************************, the owner of Adventure Fundraising LLC. tour business, offered to provide my husband, my daughter, and me a guided tour for selected cities in **** during our trip from December 16-December 30, 2022. We accepted his offer, and based on trust paid him an advance of $10,460 (ten thousand and four hundred and sixty dollars). The funds were intended on purchasing tour tickets, hotel booking, and transportation within ****. We arrived in ********** on the 16th, close to midnight. He met us and asked for the remaining funds of $3000 on the 17th. We came to know that part of the itinerary to ****, Lake Titicaca, and trips to part of ******* got cancelled due to political unrest. ***************************** asked us to pay the rest of the amount of $3000, but we asked him to provide us a breakdown of expenses for the cancelled trips before paying him the remaining funds. He flatly refused and declined to discuss the matter until the balance was transferred to his bank account, even after repeated requests. We were unable to contact him from December 18th and we left stranded in ****. The only service that ***************************** has provided us was a car ride from the airport to our hotel on 12/16. We generously estimate that the services he rendered to be no more than $200. He abandoned us from December 18th in a foreign country. ***************************** conned us into paying him a total of $10,460 (ten thousand four hundred and sixty dollars) without providing any service that he promised. We are asking that he return to us the remaining $10,260 along with $2000 to cover the unexpected expenses caused by his abandonment. I am attaching herewith the itinerary that ***************************** gave us before sending the initial payment. He hasn't provided any services that was written in that flier. I am attaching the bank records of all payments made to him (total $10,460). In our ***** Airlines account we can also see that a refund was requested by *****************************.

This client is the cousin of the previous complaint listed with BBB and was part of the same group. These passengers owed an additional $3,000 of funds that were to be paid prior to their arrival in ****. They refused to pay the full amount of their trip costs, despite Adventure Fundraising giving them several opportunities to do so. When they refused to make their final installment of payment and sign the liability waivers, we stated we can only continue the trip after receiving the funds and signed documents. They refused to pay and ceased to communicate with us further. They willingly abandoned the trip as we offered several times that we can proceed when they paid the money that was owed prior to arrival in ****.

*****************************, the owner of the business, offered to provide my wife and me a guided tour for selected sites in **** during Dec *****, 2023. We accepted his offer, and based on trust paid him an advance of $6000 (six thousand US Dollars). The funds were intended for purchasing tour tickets, hotel bookings, and transportation within ****. Upon arriving in ********** we met him and asked us for the remaining funds. Since some of the itinerary would have to be cancelled (due to political unrest in ****), I asked him for a breakdown of expenses before paying him the remaining funds. He flatly refused and declined to discuss the matter until the balance was paid to his bank account, even after repeated requests. We were unable to contact him after this incident and were left stranded in ****. In effect, the only service we received from him was a car ride from the airport to our hotel (12/15), and one day of guided sightseeing within Lima city (12/16). We generously estimate the value of the services he rendered to be no more than $500.We are asking that he return to us the remaining $5500 along with $1000 to cover unexpected expenses caused by his abandonment. The attached document provided by him shows the promised itinerary, of which only the first day (Dec 16) was completed. I have bank records of all payments made to him (total $6000). Proofs of payment (Zelle, made from ***************** are attached.

The customer who filed this complaint refused to pay the trip costs or sign our liability waiver ahead of the trip commencing. This is not only our company policy, but also industry standard in the travel industry. This client currently still owes Adventure Fundraising $3,755 from the final invoice they received ahead of their arrival to ****. We offered them several times after their arrival to pay the trip cost and sign the waiver, however they refused and subsequently willingly abandoned the trip. We have all written communications to prove this as the case. Since they refused to pay for the trip, we were unable to continue and they willingly abandoned the trip. This is industry standard and any travel company in the world needs the trip costs paid in full ahead of the trip along with a signed liability waiver.
