In September of 2021, I went to the men's clinic to seek help with *** I was told that a penal shot would be the best solution for me. After several attempts of changing the formula of my shots, we, my spouse and I that this course of treatment will not work for us. Upon review of this patient chart, the patient came into the clinic for his initial consultation on 9/20/21. During this visit the patient had a consultation with our provider covering his symptoms and concerns, allowing our provider to find the best-suited treatment pathway for the patient. After a number of pathways were explained, the patient elected to move forward with injection therapy. At this time, the patient elected his treatment plan and was given his medication to begin the plan. During the course of his plan, the patient received multiple adjustments to achieve the desired outcome. With the increased medication the patient was achieving similar results to smaller dosages, at this time we requested him come into the clinic for further discussion with our provider and testing. The patient refused to do so, we made him aware this was mandatory to continue his care. We have no record of his call in to discuss the patient's treatment plan however we do have documentation of a discussion with the patient on 3/3/22. During this call, we made the patient aware of the options available or processes needed to discontinue care. We did not hear back from the patient after that, we encourage the patient to contact us to continue his care.

I first visited The Indy Men's Clinic 2-25-19 for erectile dysfunction, the test dose worked in the office. I went home with 2 syringes that really didn't fix my problem. I paid up front $1800+ for 96 syringes, I went back 11 months later and got 8 more syringes and my girlfriend left me because I still couldn't maintain an erection with the medicine they gave me, and I was not in a relationship for the next 2 years. I went back on 4-1-22 and told them the medicine I had gotten previously never really worked right, so they said they would up the dosage, and before I left their office with 2 more syringes, they told me that the "plan" that I paid $1800+ for expired after one year, and that if I wanted more syringes, I would have to pay another $1600. I think they owe me for the 84 syringes I paid for but never received. I was never told I had to use all 96 syringes in 365 days, or my "plan" would expire. I pre-paid for a package that I had no use for at the time. Now I want to collect on what I paid for years before, or get a refund. They refused to cooperate and I left with 2 syringes, and they told me they were done with me, and that I would not be receiving the 84 syringes I had already paid for.Business response

Upon review of this patient chart, the patient was in the clinic for his initial consultation on 2/25/19. During this visit, the patient had a consultation with our provider and discussed his treatment options available, and elected to pursue injection therapy. The patient was made aware of and presented with multiple treatment options varying in the quantity of doses as well as the time frame of the treatment plan. The patient selected his plan at this time, once his plan started the patient called back into the clinic on 8/19/19 asking to downgrade to a smaller plan. In an effort to satisfy the patient, we modified a plan for him. At this point, he agreed to a plan allowing 8 doses a month over the next 12 consecutive months. With all this said and the guidelines clearly stated, we have continued to work with this patient even since posting this complaint the patient has continued to pick up medications and continued care with us. We have gone above and beyond with this patient and expect nothing but continued commitment and success with this patient.

The Men's Clinic used Deceptive Business Practices. I was enticed to buy a 6 month package of medication for $2,194.00 and was promised that it would work. They tried to change formula several times, but the medication never worked and in fact caused an adverse reaction. I was told I could transfer my advance payment for another service, but they would not explain how that service would work nor could they guarantee it. I was told that it would probably require longer and more expensive treatments.I made a written request for a refund of my advance payment of $2,194.00 over 2 months ago, but business never responded.Business response

Upon review of this patient's chart, the patient came to the clinic for his initial visit on 3/30/2017, during this visit the patient elected to come back for a test dose. The patient did not return to the clinic until 5/7/2019. At this time the patient discussed his symptoms with the provider who explained a number of treatment options available to the patient. The patient elected to move forward with injection therapy which proved to be successful, however, the patient wanted better results. After multiple discussions with the patient about additional procedures or treatments to increase his success, the patient stated he would like to transfer his funds paid to one of our therapies. We advised the patient that if desired there are other plans that do include additional benefits, but they would come at a higher cost, the patient elected to stay with the therapy plan he was currently on. The patient never came to the clinic to for his procedures and until this message on 2/21/2022, we had not spoken with the patient since 6/10/2020. We have proven to be and will continue to be available for the patient to contact us to begin his care and continued success with us.

On 10/18/21 I paid $1498.50 of $2997.00 for a program before receiving test results. Was sent home with a test kit 2 doses. A few days later a representative called with my results and the results required even more money for another program which I believe was the less invasive of the two programs. I called a different clinic and their process focused on the same things but they went about it the right way which didnt require paying $1498.50 up front. I called the mens clinic back and expressed to them that I didnt want to go through the program and wanted a refund. Theyve not refunded me my money of $1498.50 Ive not received any product snd they refuse to return phone calls. Ive made many attempts to resolve this issue with them.Business response

Upon review of this patients chart, he came in for his initial consultation on October 18th, 2021. During this consultation, he spoke about all of the different treatment options for his symptoms of erectile dysfunction and possible low testosterone. After discussing the multitude of treatment options and explaining to the patient that different treatment methods would be needed for each set of symptoms, the patient elected to receive a test dose of the injection-based therapy to treat his erectile dysfunction. This test dose was administered during his initial visit resulting in a very positive result. The patient then discussed the different treatment plans for utilizing this treatment method for his erectile dysfunction and elected to purchase a treatment plan to treat those symptoms. In doing so he paid for half of the treatment during his initial visit with the remaining balance to be paid in monthly payments over the next six consecutive months. During his initial visit on October 18th, 2021, we drew ***** for testing to evaluate him for his possible low testosterone. On October 21st, 2021, we called the patient to inform him of his results, at this time he inquired about treatment for his low testosterone, and we informed him of the different treatment plans and costs associated with them. We did not hear back from the patient until December 20th, 2021, when the patient called in to say he wanted a refund for the treatment he had purchased because the injections worked, but he didnt like them. We went over the other treatment options with him again that he could utilize and he going to decide on the treatment pathway he wanted to switch to. We have always been available to him and will continue to be with different treatment options available if desired. We encourage the patient to continue with the successful treatment he has used or come in and speak with us to discuss other options available.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When Indy Mens clinic described that I didnt like it is that substantiated? I clearly explained to them that the test injection in office did work but the dose sent home was not as effective as the office injection. As I felt pressured to pursue the treatment injection prior to receiving the Testosterone report. Once I paid Mens clinic before the low T results came in I was on the hook for additional costs. I responded to the test result call with information that the 1 out of 2 wasnt effective as the in office test dose. The response was to take the second dose then an adjustment can be made so immediately became hesitant since it was evident that Low T was the substantiated issue. Given the provided information about Low Testosterone that the office provided theyre focus was not on Low ** They wanted me to spend more money for an additional program when all that was needed was the Low T injections. What also wasnt mentioned was that I made several calls to their office in reference to refund and they didnt follow through. I made an effort many times and they balked on returning phone calls. I want a refund for the money I spent.
Regards,

As mentioned in our previous response, the patient's main priority was to resolve his erectile dysfunction issues. The provider explained that his erectile dysfunction was separate from his low testosterone issues and that they are not treated the same way. This patient then chose which treatment was more important to him, his erectile dysfunction. I understand the patient is wanting one method of treatment to fix multiple medical conditions but unfortunately, that is not the case. We have made the offer and continue to extend the offer of modifying his plan so he can receive testosterone treatment but as mentioned multiple times this will not resolve his erectile dysfunction issues. We encourage the patient to return to the clinic to discuss options and further clarification on the difference in medical conditions if needed.
