Two weeks ago I bought a new Jeep. The trade and cash balance was going good till I found out they added a $2000 body and interior package to the deal without telling me. When I questioned it they said it was a package deal with a $500 LoJack package. I questioned, ok when did you do the zilon (body and interior protection). Their response is all their cars have it installed as soon as they are delivered to the dealership. My guess is if you don't want it it is free because it is all ready installed. I was also told that the $2000 charge is more about the warranty and not the product. Also, I was sent a copy of my new car delivery sheet. There is several questions making sure that they went over everything with me when it was delivered. All but two were total lies. I never filled out the form and never signed it. Don't know who did, but they also gave the dealership a five star rating. I have made several trips back to the dealership trying to get answers but they just say somebody will call me and they never do. I just wanted to be happy with a new car purchase. It bothers me so much that I not only don't drive it, I have trouble looking at it. I would just like them to come clean with this deal and make it right. If the protection package was installed explain to me how it was. And why would somebody fraudulently fill out a delivery sheet and sign it without me knowing anything about it?

*********************** (Finance Manager) said she spoke to **************** regarding his concerns and went over and reviewed all his paperwork with him again. Our response to your office is seriously delayed,
but it's my understanding that the explanation ****** gave **************** satisfied his concerns.

I am rejecting this response because:They never sat down with me and never did I say I was satisfied. The transaction was so bad that I still can't drive or even look at the car. They lied on the documents and give themselves a five star review in my name. Funny that the salesman was transferred out of sales after this deal. Be honest, admit and take ownership to the way this deal went down. I would love to have some closure.

I bought the suv September 24th 2022 made my first payment  in November and the first week I had electrical issues trying to start the car .I took it to the dealer and they said they fixed the issue but wasn't fixed. After many attempts to start the car it eventually started. Come December the motor became very loud I took it back to the dealer and they informed me there is metal shaving in the motor and I need a new motor. So they kept the car from December January February I get another car saying the motor is good but now has a transmission issue and that needed to be swapped out. I finally get my vehicle bad mid March.  And I noticed I was constantly low on anti freeze I brang it back to the dealer and they said clamps were not on correctly . They kept the car another  3 weeks . I get the vehicle back again 2 weeks later I have a new noise .haven't brang it back yet just started the noise yesterday.  While driving 40mph or under sounds and drives fine when I reach 50mph I heard a loud scrapping noise and the car shakes badly.

On November 17, 2022 my husband and I went to Castle Buick of Chesterton car dealership to purchase a vehicle we saw online. We were informed that it had been backed up into something the night before and even though there wasn’t any outer body damage the latch on the trunk was broken and would be repaired within 2 to 3 business days. We told them we didn’t want to purchase it until it was repaired and offered our down payment to hold it until it ready but we were told no and that if it wasn’t purchased that day it would be sold to someone else so we proceeded to purchased it. Castle took our downpayment and finished the transaction by financing the vehicle on November 17th and we left with a rental. It is now January 3, 2023 and we still don’t have our vehicle. We’ve been contacting the salesman for updates numerous times but he contradicts himself with random updates and concludes every conversation saying it’ll be ready in another week or two. Three weeks ago he offered us the cars first months payment if we waited until after the new year but is now saying he’s unable to contact the mechanic. One months payment is not enough but we accepted it because we shouldn’t be responsible for paying a vehicle we don’t have and even that was a hassle to obtain because the salesman was trying to avoid us by not being in when he said he would and blaming others for not having the check ready when he said to pick it up. We are frustrated of being unable to resolve this issue ourselves. We want our vehicle and we don’t want such inadequate business to continue scamming others by taking their money and financing things they don’t have available. I also need to at least physically see that the vehicle that I purchased is still available and is not being tampered by their mechanic in a negative way. Even my loan is being affected because I can’t provide proof of insurance until I have the car. I will attach some supporting documents but I have more if needed please contact me.

      To whom it may concern,

On November 17th, Mr. & Mrs. ******* purchased a 2016 Land Rover from us, when our porter was taking it to get fuel it was involved in an accident. It was the other drivers fault and their insurance was covering it. The *******'s wanted to go ahead and purchase it, if the repairs were done correctly. It was a covered insurance repair and between adjusters and insurance going back and forth and wrong parts coming in, it just took longer than expected. At that point the ********* were justifiably frustrated. The completion date kept changing and they thought they were getting the runaround. Anyway, we provided the ********* with a complimentary loaner car through most of this duration and in the end we reimbursed them for their 1st car payment. We reached out to Mr. ******* today to make certain he was still a satisfied customer and he stated he was and  the complaint was a while ago. He stated,  if he needed to fill something out for the BBB, he would. We explained it wasn't necessary and that we would respond to the complaint today. We apologize for the delayed response and after speaking to our customers and ensuring their satisfaction, consider this matter closed.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any further questions.

      Sincerely,
