Old national bank is an absolute pain for any hard working individual. They give you the run around and hold money for days at time. If you work late Monday-Friday pay day on Friday and deposit your check Friday don’t expect access to your money until the following Monday. So any bills do that weekend will overdraft and you’ll be charged an overdraft fee. Absolutely terrible banking institute. Wish my bank would have never partnered with them.Old National Bank Response

. As I looked more closely at those payments they withdrew, I am near in shock how they at times, several times in the past 8 months or more, I have been charged $80 of interest, over my principal payment? This being an extra $50 more interest or more than they credited me for my principal payments. Example" $80 interest, principal, $30. Approximately. Or even, an extra interest charge now, at $80 more than the principal paid. This is just strange. I thought, and I do believe I am correct, for almost every month in the past year, the difference in those monthly interest charges was only $25 or so, over the principal amount?. Wow, now --have they changed these figures long after the figures I "thought" I saw in those past several payment months--I see something shockingly different? How can I now see charges of a difference of $80, over, the principal payments? Again, *do they have the authority to reach back into your checking account and change those interest charges? *What is going on and how can they charge the extra $50 or more, now, than they charged a full year ago or even longer than a year? It disturbs my common sense to find this mess. A mess of higher charges with NO explanation given to me, by phone or any email. Nothing? They goofed before--you can check that yourself--so why not again? The answer for this seems to be quite disturbing? At least, respect your reliable paying customer with some scrutiny when you must or do charge those extra $50 charges of interest Is this all covered by Old National robots? Even if so, I see no excuse. [again] I cannot be expected to watch every dime and dollar to be double checked for accuracy of where they go and if those figures are correct?. I am not the professional here. Now, I have to wonder, just who is governing my Equity loan to ensure me they are doing their best to conduct themselves in a professional manner? Thank you, Thomas * ******Review from Kathy M

The Homewood branch is extremely racist ! I was told “we don’t fax for our customers” Blatant and overboard……It’s ok to fax for other customers as I’ve witnessed it…..just saying it’s time to close my accountReview from James K

I agree Old National Bank should never have merged with First Midwest. However,I do not think it is the employees fault at all.The employees at my branch as least are all outstanding. It is not their fault. It is the ones at the top of Old National.Am been completely unable to get on their websites despite numerous attempts.Have gave up and will do all my banking in person.Old National Bank Response

Do not get a loan with Old National Bank. I used them to open a HELOC on my house and used the funds to pay the down payment on a new house. When I sold my old house and paid off the loan they had an error and left the HELOC open along with the lien on the house. I found out about it months later when I was sent a bill for the HELOC loan. They were not apologetic about the mistake and I had to go through several representatives before I found someone helpful. They still made me put in all of the effort to make things right and follow up with them three times about getting it resolved. I do like their services for personal banking but I wouldn't trust them for a loan.Old National Bank Response

I had a really frustrating experience with this bank. I was out of the country and had my debit card number stolen. I called within 30 minutes of the fraudulent charges occurring to cancel the card. The woman I spoke with, cancelled the card and then informed me that because I caught the charges while they were "pending", they would never be posted to my account. I was then told someone else would call me back and collect the address to get a new card sent to me. Two days later, I received a call from someone who asked which address I would like my new card sent to, I told him the new address (one that was not previously listed on my account due to me living at a temporary address for the summer), and he told me I would receive my card within 7-10 business days. During that conversation, I noticed that the fraudulent charges had been posted to my account, so I asked him to confirm the information that I had received two days prior. He informed me that the paperwork for fraud on those charges was never filed, so he did it at that time. Over 10 business days later, I still had not received my new card. I called again and was informed that my new card was shipped to an address that I have not lived at for five years and not the one I had given the individual when he called me. The woman on the phone apologized, cancelled the new card and informed me she would be mailing a second new card to my desired address. It has been 7 business days and I still do not have the card. This is extremely inconvenient considering I have not had any access to the funds in my bank account for almost a month. I am extremely frustrated with the quality of service that I have received during an already stressful situation. The only positive to this situation, was that the money stolen from me has already been credited back to my account.Old National Bank Response

Absolutely Disappointed!!! The bank I used for 20+ years (First Midwest Bank) was bought out by Old National and I have been disappointed from the beginning starting with the transition. My most recent experience shows me that are NOT concerned with the clients as much as they claim to be. I am STILL waiting on a “provisional” credit for a dispute with Amazon that I called to report as soon as they opened on Thursday, June 20th. The gentleman I spoke to treated me as if I was stealing from Amazon when I told him I was disputing the full amount of $592.12 as Amazon customer service had instructed me to do! Instead he was adamant about only making the dispute amount for the total amount of the transaction less what I actually did purchase ($10.98 worth of product). I was initially told by this person that this credit for $581.14 would appear in my account that night after close of business. By Saturday, June 22nd I still had not received the “provisional” credit. From what I understand and from past experience with First Midwest Back, a provisional credit is a credit given to your account same day (at least it had always been whenever I had to file a dispute with First Midwest Bank) provisionally while the dispute is being investigated. I was told by the representative that I spoke to on Saturday this credit could take from 2-10 business days to be credited to my account. This is the same about of time that the 1st rep told me it would take to complete the dispute! So basically they have no intention of giving me my money back until they complete the dispute. This transaction caused me to have insufficient funds for which I was also charged an overstate fee from the back who they also won’t credit until they complete the dispute! I am furious with them! I would have been better off requesting the refund from Amazon instead of my bank becas they say it only takes 3-5 business days to process the refund. Either way I’m short almost $600 in my account while I wait! :(Review from Michael C

One of the most ridiculous loan policies I have ever heard of. Took out a 3-year loan with autopay and never had a late payment, rejected, payment, etc. Evidently, they do not take the final payment out via autopay and you have to physically call in to process payment, after you receive a collections notice for $192, of course. Now my credit report is at risk and if I did not check my account balance to verify it was satisfied, I never would have known. Absolutely ludicrous.Review from Chris P

Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Working on my dad's estate, was told I need to have the court papers showing my brother and I are executors. Present papers from the COURT, signed, sealed, stamped what have you. I then am told that Old National Bank legal department has to review this document. Seriously, you don't trust the courts. You have had the paperwork for 3 days now and still no response back. We have called, left messages and it seems like you are just trying to keep us from moving our money where it will actually grow. Trying desperately and kindly to get this resolved but enough is enough!Review from Christopher W

My complaint is not huge but it’s relatable to fellow customers. I had two issues that I thought would be understood. My account was overdrawn for two reasons. First I paid my NIPSCO bill and was told the date it would be withdrawn but it was done early which set my account up to be given the fee. Second is that I went to the gas station and purchased gas and snacks. I had a refund coming from the gas station because my gas payment off the card exceeded the amount of gas I purchased. When I went back into the station and requested my refund, I was told that the refund was to be put back on the card and they don’t give cash back. The issue is that when I received an alert about the over draft, the overdraft fee was more than or close to the amount it was in the negative. I sent a email requesting a waiver of the overdraft fees. The two issues were not my fault but I’ll take responsibility since it was my account. I believe that the over draft fee is given if the overdraft is more than $25.00. I believe my account was overdraft at 30 dollars. Discretion could have been given but apparently they either didn’t care or didn’t read the email I sent. I am a disabled veteran and I don’t think the bank cares about the customers more than the money. They don’t understand how 30 dollars fees effect people who’s main income is SSDI. Yes I knew the policy but a policy shouldn’t be put in place without considering what can happen when cases like mine come about. I get updates on my account but don’t believe I get notification's about overdrafts. In the 17 years I’ve been with this bank I’ve had issues only a few times and this is not the first time that this has happened. It is the first time I’m considering leaving. The staff is always nice and when I request a lollipop in the drive through they give it. I don’t qualify for the overdraft protection due to my bills from my second transplant. They don’t consider these issues when they make policy. I’ll pay the money and pray.
