Honest Abes did two of my rental properties. The first one had slight problems that they seem to be willing to resolve without issue. The second one had major issues. The old roof was rolled roofing and was putting too much weight on the home. The contractor through honest abes was supposed to remove all of the old roofing and place a new roof that would allow better drainage to the roof and less weight on the home. Instead, they did a slop job on top of all that weight, and it has no support so I cannot even remove from the inside due to the whole roof will come down. I ask for a representative to come and see the job that was performed, and he agreed that it is not what I signed off on and that it would be fixed. It has now been months and I am getting no response, and they are not willing to fix it because they fired the contractor that done the job. Although I am happy that that contractor will not be allowed to continue to steal from people my rental house is still sitting empty because I cannot finish it due to this companies roofing job. The worst part is that they are still expecting me to pay $20,000 for this. I would prefer to resolve the issue instead of having to pay more money out of pocket for a lawyer to resolve it.

I just wanted to update you on the status of Mr. *******. We went out to his property today to address the issues he was having and he agreed that it had nothing to do with the work that we had done. We have done everything in our contract and he is very happy with the work we have done. His issues are due to a previous contractor taking shortcuts, not us. I hope this information helps.
