I was a customer of *************************** in ***************. I dropped off my 2020 taxes with *** on Monday 9/13/22. *** developed a plan to complete my taxes since my business closed 4/30/2020 during the ***** Pandemic. Shortly thereafter the 9/13/22 date, **************** sold and merged with Hunsche CPA Group. She explained that there were delays because of the business sell, merge, and merging of computers. In mid January of 2023, *** completed her efforts and presented them to ******* **********************, *** for review and finalization. Six months later, they are still not finalized. I have paid $1,000.00 in advance in expectation of the completion. I have received no explanation as to why they are not completed. I have only been told that the *** is too busy doing other people's taxes. Hunsche CPA Group also has my 2021 and 2022 taxes, which are basic Tax returns. 2020 does involve business taxes, since the business was open until the end of April when most of my customers closed during *****. Mr. ********************** has never taken my call so I have never spoken with him directly. I understand that there was a merger and that affected things. But my situation has changed since last September. I have filed for bankruptcy, which cannot be discharged until my taxes are filed. I am getting close to the time frame for which the bankruptcy will be denied and I will have to spend the money again to file again. I need these taxes completed and promptly. My attorney information is as follows: ******************* ****************************************************************************. ************. ****************** Since my numerous calls to Hunsche CPA Group have lead to no avail, I am asking for the help of the BBB.

***************** dropped off his information 2 years late, demanding they be completed immediately while he was filing for bankruptcy, while also missing information for us to be able to complete his returns. We informed him before we would accept his work at all we needed a deposit of $***** since he was also in the process of declaring bankruptcy and we were concerned that he would ask us to do the work then not pay us, a common practice for those in bankruptcy's and one which I wanted to ensure we were protected from. For this we reached out to his bankruptcy attorney, *********************, to confirm if we were protected. Approximately 1 week ago ************** reached out to us to confirm everything had been discharged in the case and we were clear to keep the deposit that was paid to be applied against his 3 years worth of returns that needed to be prepared, which also included a business return that was 2 years late before it came to our office. We made it clear to ***************** that he would not be placed ahead of other clients given his extreme delay in bringing us information, and we did not receive everything around the April 15th tax deadline.

I am also including the copy of the letter from ***************** to our offices that was dated by him on April 6th, 2023. Well after this September 2022 date he stated. We made it clear he would not be completed by April 15th and our next priority was personal property taxes which were due May 15th, after that, we would get his work, which was in fact finished this morning, before receiving this complaint.

We have been in contact with ***************** throughout the entire process and informed him that we are working as fast as we can and are not ignoring him. He has never been brushed off, ignored, dropped, or hungup on. Our office doors have been open the entire time and he has never once stopped in to my knowledge. We have answered all his questions and followed up with our own to ensure we were accurately filing his taxes as required by the law. Once we were given the green light from his attorney, we proceeded to finalize his returns, which are all late due entirely to the actions of *****************, and at present he owes us $600 above the $***** that he has already paid. I have very little doubt we will be chasing him for months to collect that balance, if not having to send him to small claims court. ********************* complaint stems solely from the fact that he waited several years to file his returns and then people would not jump at his request the second he demanded it. We are a small firm with over ***** clients that we take care on a first come-first serve basis. The deposit that we required of ***************** was solely because of concerns about not receiving payment as opposed to putting him at a priority. We billed him $750 for his 2020 business return and $300 each for this 2020, 2021 and 2022 individual returns for a total of $1,650, less his $***** payment, for a balance due of $600 after a $50 discount we applied.

I am rejecting this response because: The response is a fabrication of which little is true. First the bankruptcy cannot possibly be discharged without the taxes first being filed. They can be dismissed for lack there of. Next, Hunsche CPA Group never requested a $1,000.00 deposit, I voluntarily provided the monies. As for the balance of $600.00, which is what I was waiting to get informed, Mr. ********************** does not know me. I am not as poor as he assumes. I can bring him $600.00 in cash tomorrow, if that is the manner in which he prefers to be paid. He has not informed me of any preference. What troubles me the most is his denial that my 2020 tax returns have been with first *************************** and then Hunsche CPA Group after the business purchase/merger since 9/13/22. It is not rocket science that the 2021 and 2022 basic returns should not be filed before the 2020 tax return, which is absolutely and unequivocally been in the possession of ***************************/Hunsche CPA Group since 9/13/22. 9 full months as if this coming Tuesday. Lastly per the letter he attached, I asked him that if he wanted any additional monies to let me know. I also asked him to contact me if he felt it was not likely that the time frame could be met to satisfy the **************** I received no response from them concerning these issues. I demanded nothing from them but to communicate with me as to what could be expected. The only truth that was disclosed in the response as to expectations was that I dropped off the 2021 and 2022 taxes after the date for them to be completed by the April 15th deadline and that extensions would be filed for those two years. This still does nothing to complete the 2020 taxes that should be filed first and I have been patiently waiting for 9 months to be completed!

I responded the day I received the complaint and it's in the history on this system, not sure how you are saying I didn't respond.

Please note our address is not correct on your form, we are no longer at Constitution Dr, we are on Insurance Drive.

Per my last response, the customer was made aware of our progress at all times and never promised anything. He dropped off payment shortly before our tax deadline and was told he would not be completed by the deadline. He also had 3 years worth of work to complete, and was well beyond the deadlines for the earlier 2 years, showing timeliness was not a priority. We waited until his lawyer confirmed we could begin work and finished it as timely as possible. The work was completed before he filed the complaint and he was notified. The client stopped in that day or the day after to pickup all completed work and even said he was sorry for filing the complaint.

I am not sure how to move forward on this other than to state, again, that the work provided was done as quickly as possible and the complaint was filed simply because we did not complete the work on his schedule, even though he was 2 years late to start the work in the first place.
