Lets be clear the scam that is being played here. Allied partners with these charlatans as a way for drivers to take your money and your hard earned items with them home. They use a ruse of box numbers that arent accurate and they start putting them in the truck immediately and ask you to sign after the fact. I cant believe I paid them almost 8k to touch my items and then hide behind this garbage can company as a way to justify their movement. Warning do not use Allied ever.Review from Christine M

We are very sorry that the claimant had damage to report from their relocation. Unfortunately the claimant chose their valuation coverage at $.60/lb per article and the claim settlement was based on the coverage chosen by them.
The claimant had 5 damaged items and the Carrier accepted liability on all 5 items. The Carrier cannot force customers to purchase additional valuation coverage and as in this case the claim was settled appropriately based on the coverage chosen by the customer.

**Review of North American *** Lines: A Nightmare Experience**I recently contracted North American *** Lines (via ******************* to handle my move from ******* to *********, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. If you're considering using their services, I urge you to think twice. Here's why:Firstly, the packing was atrocious. Items were haphazardly thrown into boxes without any regard for their safety. Fragile items were not properly wrapped, leading to inevitable damage during transit. This lack of care and professionalism was evident from the moment the movers started packing.Upon arrival at my new home in *********, the agreed-upon assembly of furniture was blatantly ignored. Despite assurances that my belongings would be reassembled at the destination, the movers and truck drivers refused to do so. They were in such a hurry to get to ********* that they rushed through the delivery, leaving me with a house full of unassembled furniture and boxes scattered everywhere. Their attitude was appallingthey complained throughout the entire move and made it clear they had no intention of fulfilling their obligations. The damage to my belongings was extensive. My desk, TV, and couch were all damaged, and the movers couldn't have cared less. When I opened a dispute for the services that were not rendered, the response was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns, they were dismissive and uncooperative. To add insult to injury, once I filed a claim for the damaged items, North American *** Lines (Sirva) retroactively removed the insurance valuation from my order, despite it being paid for and agreed upon at the contract signing. This underhanded tactic made it impossible for me to process the damage claim, leaving me with no recourse for the losses I incurred. In summary, my experience with North American *** Lines was nothing short of a nightmare. The packing was careless, the delivery was rushed and incomplete.SIRVA, Inc. Response

We are very sorry the claimant had issues to report from their relocation and damages to report. It is never the intention of the carrier to cause any frustration and/or inconvenience to our customers.
There were some damages but the Carrier has tried to set an appointment with an independent repair specialist to inspect/repair the goods. The claimant has not been available for that and/or has cancelled these appointments. The Carrier must inspect all damages in order to confirm carrier liability. Although we realize it may be inconvenient there are steps the claimant has to take in order for this to happen.
The carrier did not remove any valuation coverage as that is not possible. Not sure what the claimant is speaking of in this manner but the claimant did have valuation coverage, they just need to follow protocol in order for the claim to proceed.
Again,we are very sorry there were issues to report.Review from Asha H

I filed my claims with Sirva to ***************** on 1/25/2024; she told me they don't cover any boxes I packed myself and then conveniently didn't want to cover any of the damage done to items they had packed. I asked for a review done, and they copied in *****************************, the senior review adjuster, on 1/30/24. I followed up on 2/26/24, 3/11/24, 3/14/24, 4/12/24 and received the same response - I am working on it. Finally, on 4/12/24, I copied *****************************, the consumer claims manager; my questions were, Why does my claim have such a lag? My last update was on 3/14, and ****** was on claims for week 1/15. It has been almost a month since my claim was received. Please inform me of your procedures regarding the timeliness of responses and updates about claims.*******'s response wasthatmy claim was finishedyesterday, and ****** would be back Monday if I had questions. My questions were not answered.SIRVA, Inc. Response

We do apologize for the length of time in a response for the review of the claim status. The review adjuster works on the reviews in order of receipt and must follow the process to be fair to all.
It appears the review was completed and an additional payment was issued and the claim is now concluded.
We are very sorry the claimant had damages from their relocation and for the timeframe for completion of the claim.
Thank you

Used North American *** Lines Sirva was used to insure the items. Upon arrival we had a broken TV, broken table, and missing tools. The driver and unloading staff couldnt get out of here fast enough taking boxes to every corner of the house. Sirva never sent and rep and I was told since I signed off on the delivery they were denying my claim. I explained that its unreasonable to open every box and inspect each item, wed still be there. ******* did say since we packed things they werent responsible. Keep in mind North American *** lines loaded a box truck with my items, transferred them to a tractor trailer, drove 800 miles, transferred them to another box truck and unloaded at my new house. I broke the items?? Laughable. Sirva is a scam. North American *** Lines not much better.Review from Gregg C

Could not be more disappointed in the services of Sirva / Allied and their inaction to remedy issues. The worst was at the end, the unloading crew STOLE a significant amount of ************** from a private area in our home during the 8-hour unloading process. More disturbing was we helped the crew unload and had our 7-week-old twins in the home. At the beginning of the move 2 hours into loading the crew was outside yelling on the phone catching attention of neighbors. The crew was fired over the phone abandoning us with a partially loaded truck and a torn apart house. A new crew was procured 6 hours later and worked into the middle of the night. Its been a month since the ****** and Sirva has not followed up. WARNINGS are these, Allied was the same price as Mayflower and United, we chose based on scheduling, ***** works for Allied, everyone is an agent / independent contractor. Sirva / Allied have shown no accountability and have no process to handle employee theft. It was embarrassing having the loading crew yelling in our front yard at our old home, and it was horrific having to call the police at our new home. Sirva will sell you on a bunch of promises, but if you take them up on their promises they are unresponsive. I spent 90 minutes on phone with Sirva agent completing an accident report and most of the time was answering redundant questions such as their drivers name, and license plate of their truck. ********************** is unable to provide us or the police the names of the unloading crew they placed in our home. Crews are paid in cash and there is no record keeping of who they hire. Our move was $20k, and the truck driver & unloading crew leaders first response to the theft was no one was in the master bedroom, and that we were trying to get money back, despite the fact the entire crew was in the bedroom throughout the day assembling a dozen pieces of furniture and placing about 20 boxes, and our move was part of a paid relocation package. Absolutely disgusted.Review from Com H

Sirva *** analyst ********************* analyzed my claims after having several items broken in the moving process. I was not provided with a policy ahead of time stating that I need to keep all damaged, broken items in my apartment until an inspector can come and inspect himself. These items included broken glass which would have been a danger to keep. The inspector was scheduled for 1 month meaning I would have needed to keep these items for 1 month in my apartment for them to be inspected. Overall, very shady business practice to not provide your customer with a policy ahead of time and then blame them for not saving broken glass in your apartment for 1 month for them to inspect the item to say it is broken. This is fraudulent and clearly a scheme to steal from their customers who are in the middle of a stressful moving process.0/5 starsReview from Dean E.

We hired a SIRVA mover to relocate ** from ******* to ********. We have moved multiple times over the course of our life. While their movers were very quick and did deliver our furniture promptly, we have never had move careless damage to our belongings. There are nicks and scratches on pieces of furniture that we know were not there prior to the move. Other appliances such as a Bissel rug cleaner were missing components to them. We finally got around to turning on our large screen tv in our rec room, which we werent using because we couldnt find the remote. We got around to turning the tv on, and discovered the screen is cracked, which was not apparent until the television is turned on. We put in an insurance claim on it, which was denied because the tv had been mounted on a stand. The movers mounted the tv. How would you ever be able to test the tv unless it is mounted? Apparently, they have a system which allows them to deny any claim. The movers mounted the tv on the stand, and also had previously taken the tv off the stand.Review from Raina S.

I am thoroughly disappointed with this company. My partner and I used Sirvas relocation services in order to move for a new job. We were told by a Sirva agent to record all of our moving expenses to turn in later for reimbustemt purposes. My partner sent an email to the agent listing all of our recorded moving expenses and asked if everything looked good. She replied via email that everything looked good. My partner then submitted the reimbursement information to go through Sirvas auditing team. The expenses were approved by Sirvas auditing team and added to our bank account. A couple days after we received the funds, we received an email from the agent stating that her auditing team made a mistake and we had to pay Sirva back all of the money we were given. Since that reimbursement money had already been spent on bills, it was a shock to find out that we had to pay it all back. This company has proven to be extremely incompetent and has added more stress to our moving process than was necessary. I would not recommend their service to anyone.
