I took my dog in to them multiple times because he couldn't walk, and the vet there kept him (without calling me) for days. Eventually, he called me saying he was going to keep my dog for nearly a week to give him acupuncture treatments, and when I got him back, he was no better whatsoever, and they wanted me to pay $1500 upfront and berated me for not having the money. I had NO IDEA how much this was going to cost, and I had no say in the matter, and we did not have the means to pay it. Two weeks later, we had no choice but to put our dog down because the vet's treatments wouldn't work, and they wouldn't let us come back because we owed them money. The is*** happened in 2021, but they are still hounding us for the $1500, and we are worried that they will *** when we are trying to buy a new house.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
I appreciate your response, but unfortunately, I cannot read the letter, so I don't know what I would be accepting. But from the little bits I could read, I didn't see anything that mentioned what my main problem was, and that was the fact that I was given no heads up as to the cost of any of these treatments, and I did not agree to what the cost was going to be. If you can show me documentation that shows that I agreed to pay for these treatments, I will be happy to drop this matter.I do appreciate the work that you tried to do, but you cannot do this to your customers--no medical agency would do costly procedures on a human without sitting down with the responsible party and making sure they are aware of the cost beforehand, so why are we forgetting about courtesy when it comes to animal medicine? ***** was family, but at the time, my human family of six was living on one income while I homeschooled my kids, and a $1500+ bill was devastating to us. I know you think you did the right thing, but for us it was a wrecking ball. One of your employees told us we couldn't come back until we had paid the bill, so we were forced to put him down a couple of weeks later when he stopped eating and drinking completely and could no longer lift his head.
I will agree to pay for the treatments that I agreed to, such as the initial medical appointment, but I did not agree to the rest of the treatments, I got a voicemail, after closing time on a Friday, I believe, saying that you were keeping him for nearly a week, and I had no say in the matter.
