***** came to my home to replace a fridge fan. He told me the fan would work ok, but was not the exact replacement. He would be back and replace with the right one.The fridge continued to make loud noises and for close to 4 months I have called with always an excuse for not coming out. He promised to send me $400 and that never happened.

On Dec 9 2021, ************************* of Efficient Appliance Repair came out to my residence for an oven repair. He looked at my double oven wall unit and checked the error code that I told him the oven was displaying. He told me that the top oven fan would need to be replaced. *** then called his wife/owner of the company to get the new fan. He then left and returned the next day to install the new fan. After installation of the new fan, the error code issue continued. He then said he may need to order a new touch pad as the current one may have burned up. He left and approximately 10 mins later called me and said his wife had texted him a "fix' she located on the internet. He started the lower oven self cleaning option and clicked a few key presses on the key pad. The oven then began to work. It heated up to 400 with no issues. He said the **** was $515 for the parts and labor and said he only accepts cash or check. I wrote him a check and he said leave the To blank as he had a stamp he would place on it. He never stamped it. He wrote it to himself as *******************. He left and told me there was a 1 year warranty on all his work. The oven stopped working a couple days later. After several phone calls and texts and a month later, he came back out to see that the issue with the error code persists. He said he was going to order another part and was going to pay out of pocket himself due to the my hassle and being upset this wasnt resolved.20 days later, several more phone calls and even further texts and he still has not come out. It is now Feb 21, 2022 and the original call for service was Dec 8, 2021.After speaking with GE and a tech they sent out, it seems that **************** should have changed both upper and lower fans and that *************** them in pairs. Apparently I paid for 2 and he only installed one. Chances are that he uses this tactic to have spare replacement parts on hand. The fact that he is circumventing using his business for signing checks is fraudulent.

*********************, under the business name Efficient Appliance, has conned my family out of exactly $343. I called Efficient Appliance to have the microwave in our built-in microwave/oven wall combo repaired. ***** came out to my house on 10/15/21 and quickly concluded that we needed an expensive part. He wanted payment in advance to order the part. I wrote him a check for $343. He said it would take **** days for the part to come in, but could be longer due to supply chain issues. He wrote me an invoice (#******) showing that I paid him $343 for the ordered part, and that it would cost me $250 for the labor once he came out to fix the microwave. He also wrote this number in quotations on the invoice (I assume a part #?): "WOX54ECOH503." After many rounds of checking with him about whether the ordered part had come in (we checked with him for nearly a month), it seemed the part was not coming and it had become unreasonable for us to have to wait any longer). We told ***** that we just wanted our money returned, no harm, no foul. He said he would issue us a refund. It's been nearly 3 months since he told us that, and our money has not been returned. We have called him many times about not receiving the refund, and every time it's either, "I'll put it in the mail to you this week," or "I'll check on that and call you back." Not once has ************** followed through on anything that he's said (including calling us back or staying in touch with us). ************** took $343 from us for a microwave part that he has never delivered. We want this money returned.
