Contacted the business to have a quote to start repair of one of my garage doors.Was asked to provide my cc info so that they could start the process and collect payment after service. This seemed weird, but they mentioned that they might be able to come in while I wasn't home and make the repair. 3 weeks went by without a callback, and when I called in my number had been transposed in their records. Again, look to schedule a visit. A Crew calls me to drive by on the way back from a job they are currently on. They informed me they couldn't repair that day but could see what they would need and write me a quote. That sounded fine to me. Unfortunately, the quote came back out of my price range and I would not be able to budget that for a good while. Nearly a month later, I was billed for a "service" charge for the quote. The response from calling the business was "well you gave us your card and agreed to pay for the service". I have never experienced anything as predatory as this. I'm not sure what I can do about this. If I had known they would charge me to tell me that they charge to much for service, I would have never called them out. I'm disgusted. $203.50 to drive by on the way back to their office and send me a quote far out of my price range.Business response

I apologize for the inconvenience and added efforts on your part to resolve this situation. I'm happy to do either of the following options to get this resolved:
1. A full refund of the $203.50
2. A replacement of both springs with no additional cost to you. (only the $203.50 that has been paid)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.
