At the end of 2022, Rectify Solar finished installing a solar system for my home, for which I paid them almost $25K. My system worked fine for a few months. They are supposed to provide a parts and labor warranty for 25 years. My system no longer works. I have been trying to contact them through emails, their website, and phone calls to no avail. The one time I got any response, I was told I had to agree to a $150 service call fee for them to schedule a visit. I agreed and they ghosted me again. I just want to use my system. I promise not to harass anyone about their horrible service (which I have never done BTW), if they would just send someone out to look at it.

We have been in communications with ******************* many times over the past 6mo.  Her system does have an existing 25yr *** warranty, and an existing workmanship warranty.  For which internet connection issues does not cover, which is her problem as her system is not reporting into the *** monitoring portal. We informed her that she may contact any installer to help perform that service, and have offered to her a local contractor to perform that service.

We hired Rectify Solar in late 2021 to install solar panels on an accessory dwellingunit, including permitting and interconnection. Throughout the installation, we had to keep calling and emailing them to get them to come to the site and do the work. They said they had finished. We have placed dozens of calls, and left messages and emails, but they have stopped responding. We recently foundout they never applied for theinterconnection to the utilitycompaniesso we've just had 4 inertpanels on the roof for the last year.

      Hello ***** and BBB,

Unfortunately the owner who was in charge of the CA office exited the company at the end of September 2023, and we were not make aware of this issue until your inquiry.  I have checked the files for your project, and it doesn't look like we have evidence that the former member or employees in ** submitted an interconnection agreement to your electric utility.   Do you have evidence that this was submitted and completed?

      Hey Sunil,

Man I really appreciate your call, your openness of how you were feeling about the project, and I am glad that we have come up with a mutually agreed to path for completion.  I am going to list the items below.  I will attempt to do this chronologically, but also recognizing that things do not always go as planned.  Based on my calculation from our AR for the next 2 months, I support the following actions.  These actions will be conducted in parallel of other currently scheduled projects, and the margins will be used for ******'s Laundry facility.

I used Rectify Solar to install solar panels on our new home in 2017. During installation their agents were very responsive. Unfortunately, since then I have been unable to get a hold of anyone for assistance with our system. I have tried calling, emailing and texting their office and the individual who maned my installation repeatedly for more than a year and have never received a single response. I feel that I have no other recourse aside from bringing my complaint about the complete disregard of customer care to a third party in hopes that I can get help with the system that they installed. This company does not seem to care at all about their customers once they have been paid.

Our sincere apologies for the lapse in communication.  The CA office is very lean and doesn't have a customer support team. We welcome you to call or text the headquarter's office in ************, ** at ************, or email *******************************

I have reviewed your account and I see that you have an OEM issue, not a workmanship related issue.  ****** Chem RESU 10H battery is defective on your property.  ** has issued a shutdown or partial shutdown on many of these units to mitigate safety concerns.  And you should not be concerned with these corrective actions.  If you do have concerns, we encourage you to contact ** directly.

** has shipped out a replacement unit to our CA office, and we have this unit on the floor.  We have been waiting for many weeks for ** to provide us with the *** process details.  To date, this is unclear.  We are in close communication with ** to get the process cleared up.  And upon clearing this up, we will contact you to schedule the replacement of this unit.

Again we appreciate your business, and we appreciate your patience.

Rectify Solar installed my solar system with battery backup. They finished it last July. Last week during the winter storm our power went off and the battery backup did not engage as it should. The system manufacturer states that it is an installation issue. I have informed Rectify Solar of this and have not heard back from them.A similar issue has occurred once before and the *** of the company was reluctant to fix it until I was insistent.I would not recommend Rectify Solar to anyone. My system was over 4 months late being installed and some of the cabling looked like a rats nest.

We went to the client's home to review why the system wasn't performing when the grid went down, and it was a simple technician error of forgetting to turn on the back up breaker in the inverter.  This case is resolved.

We signed a fixed price contract on Sept. 23, 2021 and wrote a check for $31430.80 which is 40% of the total price of $78577.00. The completion was to be in 3 to 6 months. On Dec 31,2021 we received an email from ********************* saying that there was a delay in scheduled installation due to back up of cargo ships of the coast of ********** and they would be upgrading our system at no additional cost. We have called frequently to get updates and were told repeatedly we would have a schedule in a month. Recently we have left messages on an answering machine and have not received a call back.

We have spoken with the client, and apologized for the poor communication.  Client was supposed to have received an email explaining the delays due to supply issues in ******************************** their contract, and then the shift to install other projects first due to net metering deadlines.  A new contract amendment was submitted and signed by the client to provide the installation of their project with using materials which are now available.  At this time, the project is proceeding towards installation.

Monthsago, we signed a contract with Rectify Solar and gave them a deposit of $9,200. The contract specified that thework wouldbeginby October 27th and be completed by Nov. 27th, 2021.I have contactedthem several times over thecurse of the past month asking about when they will start. I have not been given any information as to a new start of completion date. The lack of communication has caused us to lose confidence in the company. At thispoint in time, we are not sure if they are simply planning on keeping our money and not do the work, if they are filing for bankruptcy, if they are just incapable of giving us any sort of start date or what.We would like the company to clearly state what is going on- to either promptly return the deposit, so we know to look for another company, or to give us a start and completion date that is reasonably soon and to maintain good communication about what is happening.

We spoke with the homeowner and offered our apologies for the delay and poor communication.  Planning, engineering, permitting and IA work was being completed, but the information wasn't being communicated to the customer.  Homeowner has an approved permit, and ready for installation as of 12/9/21.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response has not resolved my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

We are still having communication issues. I do feel they are making an attempt, now, to communicate, instead of ignoring me, but the issues are not yet resolved. That doesn't mean that it will not be resolved, but the company is jumping the gun in saying it is resolved. I am still waiting for some answers and to see how well they handle fulfilling the contract and new potential star and completion dates. Considering the original start and completion dates came and went without communication, I am not okay with saying the complaint is resolved at thsi point, due to having a few emails from them that don't even answer all of my questions.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
