On May 5th 2023 **** Flickinger of Flickinger Concrete llc. poured and finished concrete around my pool deck. I paid him $1600 cash for labor the morning that the work was performed. There was no material involved in his bid. I was not there when they performed the work. I came home after they were gone and found a spot by the pool cover track they did not finish very well. I sent him a text and photos stating that I wasn't happy with that spot and he replied it wasn't his fault since I prepared the area. That was the last correspondence I had from him. I have called several times and sent several texts with no replies. I am not concerned about the spot in the concrete. I am concerned that he has never given me a receipt for the work performed. **** and I discussed before the work was performed that I wanted a receipt after the work was done. I should also note that they took a hand tool that was mine when they left. It was a blue handle concrete drag. How do I get this resolved?

      Business response

      To whom it may concern:

Consumer, *****************************, insisted that I give him a receipt with his rental company as the consumer. I did not feel that was appropriate, so I did not give him a receipt. The work that was done was at his personal residence not at his rental. If consumer wants a receipt in his personal name, I am more than happy to do it.

I am also not aware of any tools. When I left there were tools strung out all over the job site, I am not sure where his tool is.

      Sincerely,

      **** Flickinger

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.  I need a receipt for $1,600.00 labor for the work performed in my name as I requested.  **** can keep the concrete drag hand tool as he must have needed it.

      Regards,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

The reason I am rejection Mr. Flickinger's response six weeks later is because he never followed through with his promise on June 5th to send me a receipt for the work performed as he stated in the previous email.  He stated he would be happy to do so,  however he never followed through.  My hope is that he will include the correct; name, date of work performed and cash payment amount on the receipt as I outlined in a previous email.

      Regards,
