      I searched the web for factory authorized ********* Appliance Repair. D&G Appliance Company was first on the search list. I called and Daniel C***** came that same day. He said I needed a new door seal. I gave him a check for the service call, inspection, and the funds to order the seal: total $698. He cashed my check immediately. Two weeks later he called to say the part was on backorder. Since then, all my attempts to reach him have been futile. I checked BBB only to find that he has scammed at least 12 others in this way. He lives in Indiana but does the work in Ohio so it's difficult to pursue him. He works out of a trailer park in in Moore's Hill Indiana, Zip Code 47032. He has changed his phone number. Beware when you call for FACTORY SERVICE. There are more Daniel C*****'s out there.

      Showed up as a sub contractor for the original person contacted to fix my washer. He advised it Needed a motor, must pay for part. Venmo he had didn’t work. Wrote a check $360. To return on Friday. He cashed check same day. He did not return. Made multiple appts w me to return and always had an excuse. He is an approved pro on thumbtack and I also have requested they remove him from their list of approved pros. This man is a thief. 11-2 confirmed for 1:00 with appliance doctor on thumbtack 9:02 am. Received a thumbtack message from dewayne be here between 1 and 3 1:11 Received call from ###-###-#### Be here around 2 Arrived. We had another thumbtack contractor wrapping up a job. So husband took care of both of them The washer repair person said it was the motor. Needed to order motor and would be back to install on Friday. Wrote check #106 to Daniel c***** for $360 for motor Friday 11.4 9:22 am. I thumbtack message appliance doctor. Confirming Friday appt 9:52 response: yes, we have you down for today 1:31 me. What is your eta 1:37 trying to hurry up and finish Heading to you next. I’m sorry we are almost done 1:41. Me. No problem Later that day I see the message for appliance doctor. This pro is no longer active on tt. I can’t message any longer Sat. 11.5 2:43 missed call from # I received call from on 11.2 7:41 I texted asking when he would be here 10:05 response. Monday evening Monday 11.7 1:06 when r u coming 1:15 I am in Indianapolis I’ll let u know as soon as I’m done 1:32. I explain I am feeling uneasy. He is no longer on tt 1:37. Response. I am on tt told me all about the older lady in Indy I will always finish my job 1:38 response.       Called me and told me he was with a different company as a sub-contractor, told me he needed all money up front to order parts for my freezer and that that cost would include him returning to install freezer parts. Told me he would return the next Thursday when parts were received. He never returned-. He won’t answer my calls or my texts. i gave him 2 checks - 1 was post dated because I didn’t have enough money. He cashed both my checks. I think he turned off his phone. I need my money back so that I can get someone else to fix my free34. Do I need to file with the courthouse? I need help please!

      Made first appearance to repair refrigerator on April 22 and identified as ice maker. Required payment for half and said he would be in touch when ice maker in. Following a series of both attempts and occasional calls promising to "I'll be there on such and such day" Eight to be exact, he has still not appeared.

      Daniel C came to my home on 4/28, determined my stovetop needed 2 new burners and a switch. I paid him $458 for the parts and he was supposed to return Friday (5/6) or Saturday (5/7) to install the new burners. He never showed up, when I called him the following Monday (5/9) the number he gave me was no longer in service. I managed to track him down by calling the 1-877 number he gave me which routed to another individual (*****) who said he could get in touch with ****** and have him call me. ****** finally called later that evening, explaining that he lost my receipt and didn't have my phone number. He told me he would come on Thursday 5/12 between 12-1 PM. I called to confirm that morning and he stated he was running behind and couldn't make it until later. I was not going to be home, so we rescheduled for Monday 5/16 between 11AM-12PM. Again, he never came and all the phone numbers I have for him were disconnected when I tried to reach him. I contacted Venmo and they told me I would need to file a police report. After reading all these reviews it definitely appears he is running a scam.

      The service man came out we paid him. He said we need a new ice maker he had to order the part. He told us repeatedly he would be out but never showed up. Now he won’t return our calls I think he has us blocked because it goes directly to voicemail. He stood us up 4 times and two were on a Saturday. This company should come with a big warning DO NOT USE. I would like to have our money returned since we had to call another repair service.

      Through the internet, contacted G and D Appliance Repair. Daniel C***** worked on the appliance and said that he needed to replace it. He needed funds to pay for the new part, $2300. Have not received a reply. This company works out of a trailor park in Indiana. License plate # ******. Complete scam. Gives the whole industry a bad reputation.

      ****** ******, of G & D Appliance Repair, showed at my home, on phone call, to repair a Whirlpool Refrigerator door. (He's operating in the Cincinnati area). He rigged the door so it would close, but then ordered the part so it would be complete and also a new seal, and showed me the costs of these on his cell phone. I had to pre-pay parts and labor, by check. Talked about a dog he rescued and showed that picture too, and appeared on the up and up, and yet... The check was processed right away by my Bank. The Day came and went for him to show with the Parts. I phoned and reached a relative at the ***** ******** ******. He did call back. Said he had a hospitalized wife and was delayed. However empathetic, my frig still needs repair. He said he'd come Monday. It's Friday. No show. Now that I have read the BBB reviews, I think he will never repair the frig and I am likely out my $372, short of small claims court. Do they do interstate claims?
