The dealership clearly lists that they do not charge over MSRP for vehicles, but the vehicle I am interested in a 2023 Toyota Prius LE is being listed for over $6,000 more than the ***** The dealership states they do not honor it on used cars, but this car has 800 mi on it and was sold in September and became available a month later again. The dealership needs to be held accountable for false advertisement.Business response

I understand the frustration the customer must feel by this, however we do stand by the fact that we do not sell New cars over ****. Unfortunately, the market dictates the pricing of used car prices. This does not mean that we are selling new cars over ****. Used car pricing fluctuates with the market and can be higher or lower at any given time, and right now the market is set higher for used car prices. We stated on our website that we do not sell over **** because when new cars were limited other dealerships were charging up to $10000.00 over **** and we wanted customers to know that our new cars would not be charged over when the **** price would be.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The advertisement clearly states, they do not sell vehicles over MSRP, It does not say new vehicles only, and implies all vehicles. All they would have to do is correct their website to say new vehicles and it would solve the problem.
Regards,

On Sunday, July 17, with the heavy rain when I was driving on the road, My car dashboard statured that visit the service. So, I drove my car to the Toyota of Muncie dealership to get an oil change in the morning on Monday, July 19. They changed the oil, and also changed the air filter, and run the test. The total maintenance was $547.00. I drove from Monday afternoon to Wednesday. Wednesday, July 20th, when I drove on 69 highway at 11:00 Pm, I heard a " pop" sound, I stopped my car at the side and checked my car. After I didn't find anything, I kept driving. After 5 minutes, my car dashboard showed " engine oil pressure low', then soon, the car started to shake. I stopped my car and called the towing company. ******* towing company, **** came to tow my car, and we saw that a big pile of water under the car ran to the side of the road. When **** the driver tow my car to his truck, his truck also covered the oil.My car was towed to the Toyota of Muncie dealership at 1 Am on July 21st. Thursday, when the Toyota mechanical called me that the oil leaked and the engine had multiple holes, like was damaged by rocks. They gave me the price for the Engine is $8,300.00, and not included labor and taxes. ( No car rental either.)After I visited a few mechanical, they stated that Toyota didn't change the oil correctly, or maybe the oil draining lid didn't tight enough and caused the oil leak, and rocks damaged the engine.I request the Toyota of Muncie to fix my car and be responsible for the transportation during the time my car is fixed. Customer came into the dealership on Monday morning of the 18th after a heavy rain and flooding in the area. We advised customer of the water in the engine and told customer at the time that if the problem persists that the engine would need to be replaced and quoted the customer on that Monday. I have attached the original repair order for that day along with a video from the technician and the picture that shows that there was water in the oil. Customer also called their insurance company on the 20th to add flood insurance on the vehicle and then tried to claim flood damage on the vehicle with their insurance on the 21st. ********************* called us for more information found out the dates of the damage and the claim was denied. There were 6 vehicles that came in on the Monday with water damage, one resulted in a total loss and 2 others resulted in new engines.
