My husband and I purchased my mother's home in 2020. Mom had the basement waterproofed in 2015 for the second time by this company. They waterproofed the basement in 1985 originally and in 2015 when the basement leaked again, I called them out to look at it. They said it was unrelated to the original work, so mom paid over $6000 to get the work done. See receipts. At the end of July 2022, I noticed water coming from the floor at the base of the wall. I called General Waterproofing & Mold Remediation to tell them about the problem and ask them to come look at it. I also spoke with them about the warranty. I texted them a copy of the receipts for the work done in 2015. ******* set up an appointment for someone to come out on 8/10/22. No one showed. I have talked with ******* a couple of times and was told someone would come to the house. Again no one showed or called. Since then I have called several times and have left messages without any further return calls. I spoke with an elderly man (I had his cell phone from when they did the work in 2015) a couple of times, who I believe was the owner, but he told me to call the office because he didn't have much to do with running the business anymore. Also note that the full name of the business is at the beginning of this message. I am very disappointed. I expect them to show up and assess the situation and to keep their warranty on the work done if indeed the problem is related to prior work done. Hopefully you can get this situation resolved.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond here ONLY]**** came out to look at the leak in the basement. He asked if my sump pump was working. He looked at the sump pump and told me it was burnt out and that I needed a new one. He said that they install sump pumps. I told him that I would discuss it with my husband. I plan on getting another opinion regarding the sump pump. If the sump pump is working then I will be calling General Waterproofing to come back and look at the problem again. If I need a new sump pump and get one installed, then I will wait and see if the leaking problem is resolved and if not will be calling General Waterproofing back to come look at the basement again. I feel that he just didn't want to look into the problem any further.
Regards,
