We contacted Professional Roofing Solutions & Construction LLC to request an estimate for a new roof on a 576 sq. ft. lake cottage. We believe the quote was for $10,377.38 and up to $15,597.38 if unforeseen circumstances of rot, damage etc. We explained that since we just paid cash for the cottage that we would have to finance the project. Financing was approved for $10,000 from their website and the $10,000 was paid to schedule the job. Around May 16th they put on a new roof. Immediately we contacted them to see why the decorative tiles were not put back on the roof. ***, our contact person said they all broke and we asked why that was not included in the quote. He said he could try to find them and put them on at an additional cost and we told him to let us know first how much the tiles would cost. On July 8th we contacted *** with numerous concerns about the roof including rust marks leaking down from the nails and also why we had not received a final bill. *** then informed us that we had a balance of $13,297.38. So now this project will cost $23,297.38. We were completely blindsided and enraged. When we questioned ***, we felt like he threatened us by stating "I would advise you to read your contract very carefully before you do anything rash." We just can't believe that this company can legally add on thousands of dollars for work performed without our approval. We want to stop this company from conducting unfair business practices to unsuspecting customers. As of July 9th, we have not heard from anyone from Professional Roofing to discuss our serious complaints and concerns. We feel they know they took advantage of us, and they believe a signed contract allows them to prevail. But we have texts where *** admitted he couldn't get ahold of us for approval and even though there are 2 sides to every story, numbers do not lie!Business response

Sorry for the delay in this matter, I have been away from work on personal leave. Below I have attached our response, the signed Contract with the quoted price, and a pdf of the photos showing all the damage we had to replace. The photos also show how brittle and damaged the tiles were before we attempted to remove them.
