I am reporting an issue that escalated over time and caused considerable damage to my home done by Gibson's Heating & Plumbing in Waterloo, Indiana. 12-4-17 Home plumbing evaluation done, outside spigot checked. 1-4-18 I discovered spigot froze to ground. I have never had trouble with and had not used for many months. 1-8-18 New spigot and inside plumbing done and also hole cut in dry wall and covered with plastic panel that falls out and had to duct tape. Charged $395 even though I believe spigot not shut off when inspected 1 month prior by Gibson's. 4-26-20 Adjacent room flooded. 4-27-20 Gibson's replaced part through hole cut in drywall previously, noted workmanship and no charge. Dry wall damaged. 9-1-21 Room floods a second time. Invoice states replaced hose spigot and I was told this time also soldered. Dry wall now falling apart, carpet black, wooden cabinet bottom also black and falling apart. My homeowners insurance said to request their insurance. I have twice and nothing. Offered $600 and nothing received. I am now having another plumbing company check before attempting any repairs of room. They found questionable plumbing, no shut off valve, and a crimped pipe and are in the process of replacing everything done by Gibson's. Also, Gibson's told me, "They don't do damages". I believe Gibson's actions, workmanship and parts have caused extensive damaged to my home, loss of new wooden cabinet, and multiple repairs on a spigot that was not broke. So do companies such as this, have insurance to cover damages they cause? I have had other damages and multiple "malfunctions" with my air conditioner, water heater and well tank. But these damages with the spigot have brought me to the limits of my patience and the cost is too big for my pocket.Business response

We went ahead submitted a claim with our insurance company to investigate these claims. We previously completed our own investigation and had determined cause was not due to work completed by us.Customer response

My concerns: 1..Gibson's certificate of insurance requested by me per my homeowners insurance 10/5/21 and 1/14/22, nothing received. 2..Adam told me, "nothing for repairs, we do not do that". Also on 10/5/21 offered $600, never received. 3..I repeatedly asked Gibsons to file insurance claim and was ignored. How does involving their insurance now work after waiting 4 1/2 months since last time room flooded and Gibsons replaced faulty plumbing? 4..When was this evaluation done and I have no documentation of? All I have are no charge invoices that note workmanship, repair, replace. 5..There has been a history here of not following through. Example: AC flue comes loose from roof during rain storm 5/10/16, Inv G28606, and water pours through garage ceiling, drywall damaged. Gibsons scheduled repair, still not done!
6..I am wanting to replace drywall and carpet. Service Master told me not to clean or even vaccum black carpet. This week Wheelers Plumbing replaced spigot and plumbing per their recommendation. Both companies agreed this should be done before room repairs. 7..I can send copies of Gibson's invoices for evidence, but mine are carbon copies. Gibsons originals would be more legible. Home plumbing evaluation 12/4/17, frozen spigot replaced 1/8/18 Inv G46353, room flooded first time and n/c repair 4/27/20, room flooded second time replaced n/c Inv G91105. I also have pictures from Service Master and Wheelers Plumbing if this will aid in settlement.
I am sorry, but I do not expect Gibson's late insurance claim to be a step in the right directionCustomer response

February 11, 2022 update. I was contacted by Gibson's insurance and have emailed ********************** an email from Service Master with their quote, an email from Wheeler plumbing with before pictures and I expect their invoice next week, and also my pictures of frozen spigot, damaged drywall, damaged wooden cabinet, and plumbing.
