I believe BraunAbitiy should stand behind the products they sell! I purchased a brand new 2017 **** Explorer, with the BraunAbility modifications. All the metal pieces required to perform the modification on my SUV are extremely rusted and beginning to fail. I spoke with Braunability on more than one occasion they agreed to replace some of the parts, but not all of them. The factory paint on my **** Explorer is in pristine condition. I took my car to five different body shops, and they told me the reason for the rust and corrosion is because the metals were not prep properly and the wrong kinds of paint(s) utilized. After we spent the whole day, obtaining all of these quotes and reasoning for failure, I spoke with Braunability and they refused to do anything about it.Review from Carol B

Very disappointed with BraunAbility. They dont consider customer satisfaction. They also dont back their warrantys with their products. In fact, I never saw a warranty for my sons turny seat. I regret purchasing an adaptive seat due to many , many issues. They only promise goodwill gestures instead of issuing full refunds. I am so tired of hearing about goodwill gestures. This customer is not satisfied and truly disgusted and disappointed. A turny seat was supposed to help my disabled son get into my SUV, instead the seat had so many issues, it turned into a nightmare.BraunAbility Response

This included BraunAbility offering to pay to re-install your Turny Evo seat into your vehicle since you had it removed. We also made several exceptions to our warranty and covered repairs that were not under our warranty since they were caused by misuse. I have emailed you a copy of the warranty guide that you said you've been requesting. We feel a fair resolution would be a full refund. ******************* broke the seat as we have proof from Mobility Works. As I mentioned previously, the seat was never misused. I am not sure why our claim did not meet the requirements for a full refund. What are the requirements to consider a full refund ?BraunAbility Response

My Braunability 2021 ****** had multiple pieces of interior trim misaligned. Very sloppy fit and finish, contrary to Braunabilitys quality marketing claims. To their credit, these pieces were replaced and properly re-installed. The passenger side Braunability lower door extension did not meet up with the weatherstripping, leaving a hole to the outside, with r.esultant road noise. Braun screwed a small piece of metal to their door extension to close up the hole. There is something wrong with the engineering design of the door opening/door extension that caused this problem, the screwed on piece of metal fixes the problem by patching it up. I guess this is the result of their ****** engineering design hours that they advertise. Braunability also kindly replaced the weatherstripping which was poorly installed. So they have made a reasonable effort at correction, but buyer beware of the poor quality of their work. Now I have noticed that some of their lowered floor steel has already begun to show surface rust after 3 months of use. Appears the paint has been poorly/thinly applied. So that will be the next issue I have to deal with. I get considerable road noise through the sliding doors doors, especially on the passenger side. It is not horrible, but disappointing considering Braunability claims of quiet drive and improved ****** door seal. We purchased a van with your under vehicle lift. Over a period of time a short appeared in the cord between the controller mounted on the side of the van and the handheld remote. The fix would be very easy just to cut out about 1 inch of the cord and put a new clip on the end of the cord. I bought some clips over the counter at the hardware store. None of the clips fit although they are very close. I called customer service and found out that the clip is a proprietary shape only slightly different than the over-the-counter clips. I also found out that I have to buy a clip through the dealership.I was just in touch with my dealership trying to buy either a new clip which I could use to rewire the cord or a new cord. A new cord would be logical because there are clips which detach from both the box and the handheld remote. The dealership tells me that I can only buy the cord along with the handheld remote in excess of $400.I might even understand why you sell a proprietary clip if you think that it was really that important. I could even understand why you would sell the whole cord as opposed to just a clip because you might not want someone who is not knowledgeable to try and rewire it. But there is absolutely no justification for refusing to sell the cord alone but requiring that the cord be sold with the handheld remote (which we don't need). This is absolutely despicable and an outrageous business practice that you would take advantage of a family trying to live with a handicapped member by requiring purchase of such an expensive component for what should be a very simple fix. You really should be ashamed of yourselves! You hold yourselves out to be a champion of handicapped people but you try to milk every ***** out of them through an unreasonable policy on replacement parts.BraunAbility Response

Although we BraunAbility didn't respond publicly to this message, we did contact the customer immediately to ensure all of his concerns were resolved. Our ************************* was able to figure out the miscommunication and get the customer the part he needed to get the concern resolved. We believe that we have a happy customer!
