On July 2nd I hit a log left in the road damaging the radiator on my 2023 Elantra. On July 5th I had it towed to Reed Hyundai in st Joseph to get an estimate for repairs. On July 8th I received the estimate and sent it to the insurance company to start the claim. For the next 3 weeks nothing gets done because the insurance carrier can’t get ahold of ****** who is handling it from Reed and at one point Reed claims that the car isn’t even there. I call Reed on July 31st to find out what’s going on as the coverage for rental car expired on July 26th. I started with the collision department…they claim service department is handling this and transfer me there. Service answers and says I need to speak to collision. I explain that they sent me to service but say that’s who I need to talk to. Talk to a different person at collision and he says I need to speak to ****** and transfers. Then some lady named **** answers and has no clue what I’m talking about but says that she will transfer me to ******. The phone rings twice and then says the number is disconnected and hangs up. I then call the sales department. They apologize for this and put me on hold to talk to service. 10 minutes later she picks back up and says ‘sorry I thought they picked up the phone to talk to you and says someone will call back. This whole ordeal took over an hour thus explaining why my insurance carrier can’t speak to anyone. ****** calls back 30 min later. I ask her why my car isn’t getting fixed. Says she won’t fix unless insurance tells her to. I tell her I authorize them to fix it. She’s says no. I asked about who is paying for my rental car and she’s says not our problem. August 3rd I go in and ask ****** what’s the status. Says she is doin the paperwork now to get it fixed. 2 hours later messaged that she needs more info. Insurance says she has everything and can’t figure out my it’s not getting fixed. Now aug 6 and no progress. Got an alert that my battery is dead though?Customer response
