Problems with a finance company called ******* ******* and their service with APW heating and cooling. APW merged with *** ******* *** *******. I was financed $6000 for 2 mini splits. Now one is not working and the new merged company *** says they were no good, cheap and not what I needed them for. I still owe $3000 on this bill and no one is willing to resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

Bought a whole house water treatment system from them in 2001. They have serviced us routinely since then. Last year something broke, they came and repaired it, still broke. Kept calling them for repair, this last time I was informed they were a new company (same number) and would no longer provide me any service! No notice no recommendation for another companyCustomer response

We are not under warranty we paid for servicing every year and we paid for the repair last spring that did not repair it, I will try and find a bank recordCustomer response

I called them again (3rd time) a couple months ago and asked when someone was coming to repair our unit, I was told the company was sold and they were not going to service or repair my unit. I received no advance warning and had been calling them for a year trying to get my unit repaired. I cannot find a bill from the repair that did not fix it.Initial Complaint

APW installed my AC until 7 years ago. The first summer we had it it didn’t work at all, they did come out and sorta fixed it. It has never worked well. A couple years ago we had another company come out and was told that the thermal expansion valve was not working, APW came out because it was under warranty and said they fixed it. It worked sorta better after that but never really keeps the house cool. Another company came out today (7/24/22) and shared that the valve is installed incorrectly and is the wrong valve.Business response

Summary:
I always have my furnace check and serviced in the fall.
Tech ****, came to service furnace. He told me furnace had no leaks or cracks.
June 15, 2022 **** came to service air conditioner. When I made appt I want the service and cleaning for $59 as advertised on tv. I mention there was a noise that would click click click. **** removed cover and said see this - where it is black that needs to be replaced.
He gave me a price, I said go ahead.
He also said you are going to have to replace your AC & furnace because they are old. I said how much is a new furnace and AC. He said it depends on the brand. He came up with $10,000 plus and said I could finance it for 10 years.
I wrote three post dated checks.
AC repair did not work.
I contact another company to get AC repaired.

There is no indication that the technician did any work outside the scope of what he was paid to do. A furnace/ac inspection is just that, and inspection. If there are parts that need replaced, they cost for labor and material. These are not free. We took a check to the bank that was a little early. Since that time, we have reached out to the customer on three occasions to send the money back and there has been no response.
