A+ installed a roof on my home with a 5 year warrant the roof has started leaking after 3 years around my chimney onto my ceiling called them and they said the insurance company didn't give them enough money I guess to do the job right I though that's what their quote was for anyway they seem to help me at all asked to speak to the owner and he will not call me back I guess they want me to pay to have it fixedBusiness response

This is in response to the complaint against A+ Home Improvement by *** ***** *****. *** ***** called our office about a leak from a roof we installed in 2019. He stated that the leak was at his chimney and he had another roofing company come to take a look at the leak and they determined it was the chimney flashing that was causing the leak. We looked through *** *****’s file with us and we were contracted to do the roofing work per the estimate from his insurance company. We have the estimate from his insurance company and they did not pay to replaced the chimney flashing. Therefore, we did not replace the chimney flashing, so it would not be covered by our 5 year labor warranty. We have explained this to *** ***** a few times now and have let him know that if he would like to call and speak with his insurance company and have them give us a call, we are willing to work with them on this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:I have the insurance paperwork that showed they paid over a hundred dollars for flashing in which they installed none they just used the old flashing that was there talked to the owner and he said since I filed a complaint he's not going to take care of his warranty and I got it fixed for 1275 last week and they should at least pay half if not full

I have attached a copy of the estimate from the insurance company for the claim for *** *****. He stated that the insurance company did pay for the replacement of chimney flashing. The insurance company did not in fact pay for chimney flashing replacement. Thy paid for pipe boot and pipe jack/split boot flashing, but it does not show them as paying for chimney flashing. As we stated previously, if *** ***** would call his insurance company and find out why they did not pay to replace the chimney flashing and have the insurance company call us, we would work with them. We were contracted to replace what the insurance paid for. They did not pay to replace chimney flashing. We are not responsible for covering the chimney flashing as we were not contracted to do so.Customer response
