On 06/17/22, I received a quote from Stan with Stan Young Drainage, LLC. After receiving additional quotes from other businesses we decided to work with Stan Young with Stan Young Drainage, LLC. Our total quoted price was $16,195.00, with a 3-week install time. The payments would be broken into 4 installments (1-Deposit, 2-inside ground broken and hauled, 3-exterior completed, and 4-interior completed/final payment). We submitted our deposit/first payment on 06/19/22 for $4,048.75. Work began on 07/06/22, which we submitted our second payment on 07/06/22 for $4,048.75. On 07/10/22, Stan advised additional piping would be required due to not being able to tie the pipe into the original line intended. As a result Stan advised it would be an additional cost of $615.00. I told Stan to send me the invoice and I would pay him once the invoice is received. On that same day Stan advised they would have the exterior completed, to which Stan requested the third payment of $4,048.75. Based on good faith, I submitted the third payment of $4,048.75 on 07/10/22 as I was told by Stan the exterior was complete. On 07/11/22, I observed the exterior work was not completed. On 07/14/22, Stan advised they were finishing the piping and advised he was going to send the $615 invoice. Additional, Stan stated they would be coming by Saturday, 07/16/22. On 07/14/22, I submitted the $615 payment (additional piping). 07/16/22, Stan never showed up. On 07/22/22, I sent Stan a text message requesting an update. I did not receive a response. On 07/25/22, I sent Stan another text message requesting an update. Stan replied he was going to try and get out to finish the job later that week. As of 08/01/22, no additional work has been completed. Due to the exterior work not being complete I have submitted payment for work that has not been done. On 08/01/22, I was contacted by subcontractor, Nigel asking if I had made payments, to which I confirmed I did. I was informed Nigel had not been paid by Stan
