I personally felt like I was wrongfully evicted on June 6,2023. They rejected my rent with the late fees. I went through Healthy at Home Evictions where they paid my rent from Dec 2022- April 2023. I was going to pay my rent on the 12th of May with the late fees and the recent office lady (****** **********) said she needed to speak with her boss to see if she could accept it. I personally reached out to her boss at the time to ask some questions and to see if she would accept it, but nobody replied back to be until the day I was going to eviction court. I went back into the office to pay my rent with the late fees and she took the money order out of my hand, looked at it and her computer and said “I cannot accept this”. Before all of that, I had a service animal the 1st year I was there and I went to give the office lady the documents with the payment fee and she put it in a folder, my dog passed away due to cancer and parvo that he picked up from their property. So, I got a new dog to replace the one I had and I tried to explain the situation but they told me that I had to pay another $450 fee for my dog. Then a couple months go by and she does not say anything to me about it. One day, my boyfriend and I were arguing like normal couples do, mind you he is not from Kentucky so he used to come and stay with me for a while and then would go back home. Some how the police were called once and she said I violated my lease with my dog, the police being called and my boyfriend being there. I’m there lease it says if the police is called more than once then it is a violation. I lived on the second floor above an elderly couple who always complained no matter what I did. I also lived next door to people who had multiple complaints, cops being called and people that stayed with her w/o being on the lease. I lived there for 2.5yrs and this was the only time this has happened. They also would go into peoples units w/o their knowledge. I would really like to speak with someone

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
In the lease violation it says there were complaints about my dog who barked all day is false. There was a neighbor who had their dog outside on the patio all day long barking. My dog liked noise so I had my tv on while I was away to keep my pup from barking. My dog was not a barker unless someone knocked on my door and it only lasted for a few minutes. It was not my dog because I trained my pup not to bark while I was gone or in the apartment. I mentioned it to property management but they still accused me. While I was there on my days off or after work, my dog would not make a noise. It is unfair that I was blamed for something that I know for a fact was not me. I felt I was also evicted for ************** ******* ** ********* ** ******* ******** and did not bother anyone while he was there. There are people on that property who have multiple people in their unit without being on the lease and multiple pets that are over capacity. And on top of that, after I made this complaint I get a call from a collection agency saying that I owe $2300 for fees. In the lease it does not say how much would be charged for small things like a microwave handle being $165 to fix or how much a carpet cleaning would be and etc. Before the new property management I mentioned to the maintenance man that I needed things fixed and they never showed up to fix anything. They would come into my unit without my knowledge and by law they are supposed to give a 24-48hour notice before entering a unit. I’ve only had the police called once and it shouldn’t have been a violation. A neighbor next to me has had the police called on her multiple times and did not get an eviction or violation. I feel targeted and treated unfairly. Some things I will take accountability for but not all the things that are being presumed.
      Sincerely,

      Kadi Howell

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:

Is there anything you can do? My credit is horrible now because of the eviction. It is harder for me to get a place now. I would like there to be no eviction on my credit and I’m not paying $2300 for minor and ridiculous things. If they wanted me to pay $1600 then they should’ve have let me stayed and not file for an eviction. In the legal statement of the Healthy at Home it says they are supposed to give me a notice after 30 days and they did not follow those rules and guidelines. It’s not fair that I didn’t get a notice about complaints or anything it was just straight a violation and eviction. Towne commons or Winterwood made it extremely hard for myself to find another place to live. They might as well kick out the other tenants that are doing drugs, yelling, fighting and more. They have had more issues with them then myself. I need a better solution because I felt like I deserve something positive out of this issue
      Sincerely,

      **** ******
