      On 10/13/2021 I made a transaction on **** with the seller, Bairds Auto. I purchased a used transmission for my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer LT. The transmission, item # ************, had a product description stating that it was a fit for and was compatible to my vehicle. My order number for this transaction is ************** and the amount paid was $594. I am a 100% service disabled veteran and live on a fixed income. Due to this, I had to save funds in order to have the transmission installed. On 04/25/2022, I had my vehicle towed to the mechanics shop for the transmission repair to be completed. On 04/27/2022 the mechanic contacted me via phone and advised that the torque converter on the transmission I purchased was incorrect and that he would attempt to use the torque converter from the previous transmission. It was at that time that I contacted the seller, Baird's Auto, to inform them of the circumstances of the part. They seemed willing to assist at that point while remaining adamant that no returns are offered due to it being outside of the return window but stated to keep them informed, in so many words. Understandable. This morning I was again contacted by the mechanic and informed that though the old transmission and the transmission that I purchased are externally similar, they are quite different internally and the part will not work and is not compatible with my vehicle, as it was descibed. I contacted Baird's Auto and informed them that the part, although similar, is not compatible with my vehicle. I asked what my options were at that point. They informed me no returns, and stated it is my job to ensure that the part fit. My response at that time centered around the fact that if the part was labeled as, and sold as, a fit for my vehicle and it is not the correct fitment, how is that my fault? I have not received a follow up response from Baird's as of yet. I do have our email thread to forward if needed. I reached out to **** as well, to no avail.

      I spoke to this customer about this issue. Our return policy is 30 days to return or 90 day warranty for mechanical failure. This customer contacted us after 6 months of having the part.
