I called justfix it to do some minor home repairs for us: What would you charge us for Remove existing plywood frame (4'x8') over existing 1.00 basement / cellar stairs and dispose of material. - Remove and replace existing kitchen faucet with new replacement faucet . - Remove and replace rotten brick mold and and door jamb material on exterior side of the man door in the garage and touch up paint on repaired area. - Inspect foundation and repair minor foundation cracks with crack filler sealant where needed. - Adjust (1) small hexagon shaped window in bathroom to open and close properly. - Re-Install (1) existing exhaust fan cover in hall bathroom They informed us they would be able to take care of this starting Feb 18th and it would take a couple of days. I informed them we are selling the home so time is of the essence. They never showed up on the 18th. On the 19 they finally showed up but only dropped off tools. They then came back on the 20th and replaced 21st and replaced the faucet, removed the frame, and replaced fan. They left the frame in the middle of the yard instead of getting taking it away even though we told them there was an open house scheduled. Since then we have not been able to contact them or get updates. We went to house no work is being done. We have requested updates or refund and have heard nothing. This is by far the most unprofessional I have seen a business operate. At this point I cannot recommend anyone using this company.Initial Complaint

We hired Jusfixit in December 2022 for a list of construction needs for our barn. We’ve paid $15500 of our $17101 contract amount (plus an additional $600), but the company will not come to complete the work. We sent increasingly urgent messages starting in February because we were afraid they weren’t coming back and not just tending to a sick father like they said. They have not come back and stated they will not come back. We paid a $8543 deposit to ******* ****** ****** at the time of signing on December 22, 2023. We paid an installment of $1957 on January 14, 2023, an installment of $2500 on January 19, 2023, another installment of $2500 on February 8, 2023, and an unexpected payment of $600 to his son Austin White on March 20. This unexpected payment was to 1) get the work to resume and 2) pay for unexpected costs (gravel, machine rental, etc.). We have unsuccessfully reached out via phone, text, email, Facebook, and an in-person visit to their office. In the course of this time, they have changed their phone number, put a for lease sign on their office, and posted a moving message on one of their personal Facebook profiles (Joel Lee). The only response we’ve gotten is from Joel Lee telling us to stop contacting him and that we are in the wrong for paying the $600 installment like we were told to do. In addition to not completing the work we paid them to do, they damaged our property so we are now needing to hire someone to not only finish what they did not, but to fix the damage they did to and around our barn. We now have a drainage issue and rain coming into our barn from this damage. Lastly, some of the work they did do is already wobbly in places and full of holes in others. The contract states a five-year guarantee and it’s only been a few months. They will not perform the necessary repairs.Business response

Jusfixit was hired by Mr and Mrs ***** to build a couple lean to sheds. Some concrete work as well as minor plumbing and electrical. We signed a contract that was 8 pages long and in the contract was a clause that the customer would not engage in hiring anyone else to do our work in progress. Mrs. ***** violated the contract by hiring a previously fired contractor of jusfixit and paying him monies without even consulting with me. I’m the one she always sent payments to. Our contracts are set up with the progressive payment system that both protects us and the customer from getting left holding the bag. We get payed for what we get done in installments. So when she violated the contract we was already due a payment and had got into the next work toward the next installment. The whole contract was not paid for. We done ample enough work actually more than enough for what was paid a 90’x 12’x11’ is very costly alone it would cost on average close to $16k. We weren’t even paid $14k. All work was done and up to date on the installments contract was void and we haven’t yet filed in small claims. She has put the bogus reviews all over the web and we are going to seek litigation as soon as possible.
