2012 Jaguar XJL. May 23, saw possible oil leak with very dark droppings. Called my usual repair shop and could not get car in until June 3 but made an appointment anyway. Felt it better be checked before and had appointment with Stuttgart for May 29. Had the oil changed, although they could not get the Castrol oil recommended and that I wanted to be used. Charge seemed higher that what I had paid at a Jaguar dealer before. I was advised they found the oil leak and provided a repair estimate that included changing the Left and Right Valve Covers, Oil Filter Housing Gasket, Fuel Injector High Pressure and Spark Plugs. All this for parts and labor came to $3590.41. Was told it did not need to be done immediately but keep an eye on the drippings. (Very Interesting!). As I had extensive work done at my usual shop I kept my appointment on June 3rd for a second opinion. They found no oil leak from anywhere. They did however find the Power Steering Pump beginning to leak and the area of the drips seen were consistent with that leak. This makes me wonder about the suggested repairs made by Stuttgart. This was my first-time using Stuttgart and will be my last. Buyer beware.

I'm very sorry you feel that way, however our diagnoses is correct as far as your valve covers leaking goes and I'm sure you will figure that out soon. And as far as the oil change goes you requested special oil which we had to order in and that in its self drives cost up that is always a option for customers to do how ever our house bran oil is much cheaper and has all the same ratings as the more expensive oils. that was your choice. However i am very sorry for how you feel about this and in the future why not talk to the repair shop about any concerns you have about price or diagnoses before slandering a hard working and honest shop thank you again.Review from Amy P

I took a mini cooper for inspection and repair. Got a call they needed deposit told them rather go ahead and pay it all @$1,443.00. About a week later I get a call, the car is done and the balance due is $1,443.00. They had no recollection or receipt of it already being paid even though I know it went out of the account. Derek tells me he'll check on that and get back with me; he didn't. I called back that afternoon and they said they had found both receipts were it was ran then paid off which was a lie because there would just be one receipt from the one transaction.
Showed up the next day to get the car only to be told it was no longer ready they mistook it with another car and now it wouldn't be ready until the following day. I found this to be unacceptable and lost all confidence in this establishment or so I thought ... turns out as they are taking me to work so they can keep the car they call and say the car is fine. Perfect running order; they were confused. They didn't verify it they simply called A.J. out for being careless with his work.
Later that day, the own Chris, calls in an attempt to tell me I was disrespectful to one of his staff. He didn't take ownership of mistake after mistake.
If you have a foreign car don't take it here. Simply don't. They can't keep up with vehicles, payments or courtesy for their customers.
I wrote this review in the event I have any trouble with the warranties I currently have that they hold but they will get no more of my business. Go to the dealership, *************************************************************** ********
I've never dealt with someone has entitled and rude as Chris who needs to learn how to speak to customers he hopes might return. To the man that was told to drive me to work. File for workers' compensation. Your employer put you in a position you weren't safe and I have him admitting as much in writing
So happy we are having the Mini Cooper Class of 2024 & know were they won't be getting serviced.:)
