Don't take anybody word for truth The seller misrepresented a horse/pony Said it was a horse kept the vets paper work and after purchase still took time to send it come to find out it's a gelding pony not a gelding quarter horse. Then states because height is at 14 Hans makes him a horse but her own vet certificate states pony and she left money out. This place is a joke. If you can't see the horse in person don't bid or buy a horse as it's a place for terrible lying horse traders and that stinks for the honest ones. Lesson learned and ii hope that they don't get away doing it to alot of horses and people. Just so sad money is the agendaReview from Denise S

After buying a horribly misrepresented horse, I contacted Platinum warning of this seller Shining A in Pacine, CA that this horse did nothing she said it did. Not a word from them. I remember when speaking with someone at the auction site, he was rude and dismissive and hardly let me get a word in edgewise. I have a very sneaky suspicion that they have someone within their group who bids and bids until a legitimate buyer’s maximum bid is reached. STAY AWAY!!Review from Gwen B

Recently bid on a horse. Lost the bid but found out later the horse had eye problems and vet said it shouldn't be ridden until taken to a Vet Hospital for further evaluation. That horse was from Pleasant grove, CA. I asked the Platinum guy if there were any guarantees on their horses and he said no. Platinum could require vet checks to sell horses on their site but they don't seem to have any interest in doing that. It would be best if buying off this site to get a vet check for sure. Or go see the horse first. I went to see two other horses listed on this sight and felt they were both misrepresented. These horses were from Paicines. I was sorry for the trip except for that it made me wary of these folks and buying a horse off an auction. So buyer beware.Review from Gary L

I did business with platinum equine auction. I think it’s easy for the sellers to take advantage of buyers they ship these horses everywhere and you basically don’t have any recourse if the horses aren’t advertised as said. It would be nice if platinum equine auction wouldn’t allow repeat offender/false advertising sellers to utilize their selling platform.Review from Leeann M

I purchased 2 horses from circle PB horsemanship..Parker Bown! I spoke with him several times and he assured Me they were both super gentle. They appeared that way in the videos. Both were quite the opposite. Im positive he drugs them and then films. Im also positive they have ghost bidders that force bidding wars. They are scammers. Including Eric. I wish I’d done more research before spending $20,000 on 2 horses I’ll do good to sell for $1500 each!!! They haven’t heard the last from us!Review from Megan L

I strongly advise anyone not to use platinum equine auction. This is not a legitimate business (and is not to be confused with platinum horse sales) they have no Google reviews, they have no prices/ fees/ or policies on their website and they charged me $500.00 to list my horse then tried to tell me that when the horse didn’t meet the reserve price that I owed them another $375 for a pass out fee even though that’s posted no where I didnt pay the pass out fee but these scammers got me for 500. Check out the Reddit thread about this auction site…apparently how they work is they have a network of people all affiliated with this “auction” that bid horses almost to the reserve price (which they of course have knowledge of) if the owner will take less and they think they can flip the horse. If it’s a horse they can’t flip it won’t sell and then they will tell you that you owe them whatever pass out fee that they dream up that particular day. They also asked me to PayPal them the listing fee to an obscure email address and to send it friends and family. After I sent the money and photos of horse I wanted to sell I didn’t hear from them anymore until a few minutes before the auction was set to end- despite several attempts to reach them to change one of the photos that they had on there twice and they had my filly posted as a gelding on the equine now site! They will not respond to you via text, email or Facebook until money is involved then suddenly they will respond. Do your research, use a legitimate horse auction site like the horse bay. Do not get hooked by these scammers like I did. (Ps ended up selling the horse to a friend instead of these scamming professional horse traders)Review from Mary Beth W

Just purchased a horse through them. While so far horse seems quality, the experience was stressful and not a good one. For instance, site says a negative Coggins is mandatory to list a horse for sale and ad said horse was completely up to date with vaccines and healthcare and Coggins. It took over 24 hrs AFTER I wired the money, however, for them to produce health records and a negative Coggins. When the paperwork arrived everything had been done after I won the bid (they gave vaccines to horse and tested after I won bid). Their story was that they wanted everything fresh and in my name. I have texted directly to Eric of Platinum as well as the “front” person (One Stop Performance horses) for the seller about my issues and have not yet received any reply. My last year’s buying experience through RD Horses for sale in the Netherlands was light years better. I will not use either Platinum Equine Auction or One Stop Performance horse sales again.Review from Matt K

I would not recommend buying anything from this site. As other people have mentioned they have more loyalty to the seller. When we contacted the Auction site, they told us to contact the seller that sold us an overpriced/ crippled horse that was not half of what he was described. They claim only to allow trusted sellers, but Mitch is not a trusted seller, but yet they still let him sell. This seller even sent the horse across 2 state lines without any coggins.Review from Kathy S

I called Platinum Equine Auction to report that the horse I purchased was not at all as advertised. The auctioneer clearly had more loyalty to the seller (his customer) than to me, the buyer. Auctioneer recommended I contact the seller - great idea only the seller has not returned a single text, email or phone call since getting my money. Would not recommend this auction to anyone unless they happen to be in the market for an exceptionally pricey rescue horse.Review from Summer B.

This website claims to only allow trusted sellers with quality horses to post an auction on the website. I purchased a very expensive horse on this website that was sold as a sound horse and he is crippled and not worth a 1/4 of what I paid and what they told me he was worth. I contacted Eric, the owner of this website and asked him not to allow this person Will ****** to post on here anymore due to him being a fraud and he is still allowing him to sell overpriced horses on there. . This guy Will has a lot of bad reviews so he’s obviously not a trusted seller.
