This place took my money for a debt that I owed for 4000.00 refused to give me a receipt before 30 days. After being paid in full on 7/22/24 I received a letter stating paid in full dated 8/30/24. Just to receive a letter dated 9/30/24 saying that a payment was not received and that they already reported this to the three national credit agencies and this will damage my credit rating. When i called them they admitted the mistake and was rude to me because I was upset. The employees hung up on me twice. refuse to give me their names and or employee numbers. The supervisor hung on me after the original rep hung up on me. The third call I could hear the employees in the back ground laughing and saying he cant do anything to us he is just gonna have to wait for us to fix the error. No one will give me the detail of what fixing it means. The manager just continue to say " im on it" before hanging up on me rudely. The third rep stated that it was an error and they need 42 hours to call me back instead of giving me a letter immediately stating their error. Then tell me its my job to call credit agencies to report not theirs! Extremely unprofessional hung up on 3 times with no resolution to the nightmare they caused with my credit reporting. The names were Lee, Melina and jonathan all which refused to give me last names. Each time i called back I was directed to someone else why they were laughing in the background. I told them Im calling back all day long until i get someone who will help me and they said thats not going to happen.

Just trash!!! So many unnecessary documents that are required, and even after you upload them, they still want more and more and more.... The process is anything but quick and easy! More like long lasting and an absolute giant headache!! If my son didn't receive a scholarship, we would've ditched this months ago and honestly would've went a different route. I have been uploading and sending the same set of docs for months now! Not at all pleased with their process or workers. The lady I spoke with had a serious attitude problem and sounded as if she was being inconvenienced. I won't drop her name but it Starts with Sha. Definitely do not recommend!! If I could put zero stars I would!!

I contacted Kentucky Higher Education for my refund for my student loan. They stated I would not receive a refund, they would not give me any information. They stated I should contact letter issuance and it states on the letter to contact my loan servicer which is Kentucky Higher Education. They need to send the refund that is due.

Terrible company. I called department of education and they said my loans were in default still. I've been paying KHESLC for 2 years. Dont bother. All of sudden my balance jumped 12K. I went from owing $0 to $15k to now 26K. It's fine i'll get a lawyer if needed.

I've just finished a phone call... No actually they hung up on me when I had a question about their website. I wasn't able to log in even after when their message said "Now you can log in into your account." So I called the phone Nr that was given "If you still have difficulties, please contact our technical support desk at XY phone Nr" And when I explained what happened the woman just said "Ok, good bye" and hung up on me. Well, you'll definitely won't make money on me. :'D

Absolutely HORRIBLE organization! Do Not accept any money through them!!! YEARS I’ve been dealing with this place! They won’t even take my money anymore! Login and password were shut off!! I’ve always tried to send something, may have not been full payment for numerous reasons but, sent something. Not anymore!! Tried they’re “repayment” plans, the payments always seem to rise without notification or reason? Funny how that works! They just want to keep that “Keys” balance high!!! DON’T DO IT!!!!

do not go through kheslc for your student loans. for months i was paying above my minimum with no due date advance trying to pay down my principal and i had no issues. without changing a thing, i’ve been “delinquent” the last three months despite paying above my minimum only days prior. the customer service reps lied and told me to NOT select no due date advance, but i want to pay down my principal, not future interest. they’re just looking to get as much interest out of you as possible. i will be refinancing and going elsewhere.

Never work with this company, they will harass you till the end of time, their payment portal sucks, they have reported me even when I payed on time, and have made me double pay before and had to comp me a month. This is a company of parasites and I hope their company fails and the CEO goes to hell.
