A contract was signed on January 11th, 2024 with ** ************ to perform home improvements that included a tiled stand-up shower in the master bath room, tile in the master bath, half bath, hallway & kitchen. The contract specifically calls for the removal of the kitchen countertops and replacement with Dekton counters &backsplash. The bulk of the money for the project was for the kitchen countertop system($6500). Although a timeline was not specified in the contract, *** ******* said he would complete the project by February. The shower, bathrooms, & kitchen floors were completed, after repeated corrections( tiles that were loose, shower tiles installed wrong) had to be made. However, *** ******* was paid all the monies according to the contract. During this time, we continually asked about the counters and he repeatedly put us. Finally, ******* *********** came to measure on January 31st, 2024. We were then contacted by ******* *********** about the install dates on our answering machine, Message stated contractor needed to come the day before, Date and time set for the install was February 26th(contractor) and February 27th(******* ***********). Then, on the morning of February 26th, **** ******* calls saying the counters were being delayed by the countertop company. So, we contacted ******* *********** who said the account was on hold due to nonpayment. We contacted **** who said “thats not how it went down”. He said he would call them and get back to us. We heard nothing again from him and he would not answer our calls, until we received a certified letter, containing defamatory remarks about us, and demanding $1000 to continue. We have paid **** ******* 16,500 and he has stole our money and refuses to return it or complete the project.

There is a Lawsuit filed by me against him because he refuses to pay the terms of a contract as per contract that he agreed on to pay and because of it i'm not required to continue and plus additional work that was also completed that is owed so I will not respond to this complaint and I really want to think him for his comments on his response to this complaint because most is all lies and it will just help my suit for defamation that he keeps adding like the comment he made on my ******** earlier today but you would think that someone who is supposed to be a preacher would know better but when you don't live by what you preach what do you expect

We signed a contract for block and and a front porch. They laid the block but it was straight up and down. Contractor had to completely redo the whole job. Was insistent on getting paid as we agreed upon as the job progressed but the contractors were more apt to listen to the radio, work on their car, steal from personal property anything but complete the job. When I called to voice my concern contractor got irrate didn’t want to finish the job and didn’t even finish the porch they didn’t even start the porch but insisted he was to be paid. Totally violated contract. Didn’t want to work to finish the job, completely blocked my number, just took the money and said, “get a lawyer..” this isn’t a way to conduct a business. This is is just braisen theft.

the pictures that they submitted is pictures of the work as it was progressing some of the pictures contradict what he is saying the picture of the block with the damaged siding is at the back corner and he uploaded a pic of the end where it isn't finished is the same end that he shows in the one picture where the block is finished and he said the siding got damaged when they was moving in the home and the comment about ppl stealing is all false i had a ******* boy working for me and he said he didn't want him there because he was afraid he would steal something and that he didn't like **** *** on his property the incident never happened and he had a shed over to the side that had a bunch of garbage there laying out in the rain and everything there was an old grill there and the ******* boy brought hot dogs to work with him and they grilled them on it so i took them off and the comment abt the work not being good they actually sent me pictures saying how pleased they was with it and i actually didn't like some of the blocks and i had another crew come in because he didn't want the others there and tore out a bunch of block and when they was all laid he paid me for that and after i laid blocks i told him i had to let blocks cure before i could attach deck to it and he was alright with it for a day and demanded me there and then wanted $7500.00 for a job i bid $4500 which of $1500 was still owed on contract and we also built the steps so he could get in and out of home so i deducted that amount from it and sent back his money i never have or would i ever steal anyones money so here is some pictures

The original price for everything quoted labor and material were 28,400 dollars for garage and patio. Paid **** ******* 14,200 dollars when I signed the contract for materials and doors. I signed contract on May 5th 2021. He poured the concrete slab for garage on June 4th. Got framed and metal on roof and walls July 29th. Said he would come back in a few days to finish trim. Never showed back up to work on garage. Finally poured patio on October 20th. The first garage door place messed up and installed doors somewhere else but said he never placed a deposit on them. He says he did but showed no proof. Ordered from another place said they would be in December. Kept saying every month that he was waiting and waiting and that they were on back order. Then I requested information where he ordered them from and and he instantly calls and said that the other guy couldn't get them and that he returned his deposit. This was on April 4th 2022. And now it's April 29th no doors ordered and has blocked our number and social media and will not reply to us. I want my garage done and the guy to pay for his mess.

hello my name is **** ******* i'm owner and operator of P C Construction Company out of Pikeville, Ky.

I got an letter concerning this complaint listed above there complaint is all wrong and some of it is just not true at all I did sign a contract with the customer associated with this complaint and some of what is being said isn't true he state I ordered some garage doors that supposedly never paid a down payment on but also said that they was used somewhere else because I never paid a deposit on them and that is just insane what company would order 4 giant garage doors 2 of which was 10' x 10' and 2 which was 12' x 12' which aren't standard sizes and turn around and sale to someone else because I didn't pay a deposit on them if that was the case why didn't they just come install them and get paid the whole amount, the garage door company in question I have done business with for 20 years and before I did this job they had already done 3 other buildings for me by which is the reason these people contacted me because they seen my pictures that I put on ******** which btw had pictures of the said companies vehicle and btw I also gave them a shoot out for there help on my job but the truth behind the doors is that during which time I had ordered them is the same time we as a country was going thru which still is going thru the worse pandemic that this country has seen and because they are made with aluminum and the shortage of it the company that they had ordered them thru only made the 10' x 10' ones and quit producing the 12' x 12' ones so he had received the 10x10 ones and was gonna half to order the 12' x 12' one and they was gonna be a total different set up and different in the way they looked and I called the customer and told them that and they said they didn't want different style doors and wanted them all the same so the company that I had ordered from was trying to order from other company and was having trouble getting because of the national shortage of the material that is needed to produce them and also during this time the part owner I was purchasing them thru and the person who has always been my contact got hurt and his partner ran the company in the ground and was contemplating bankruptcy and I know all this because my customer who I had also gave them the contact info of the garage door contacted me and told me all this and then I called them and he told me this too so now I have lost my deposit of $3,000.00 because he was going out of business and couldn't get so I started the hunt to order them from another supplier and all of which all was having the same issues of getting the larger door because of the shortage, and it got to where the customer was badgering me over something I had no control over, and the other thing about not returning to complete the trim well the garage door being installed was also part of the trimming there was no use for me to send my employees close to 100 miles to install part of the trim and then have doors installed and then having to return and drive that mileage and install the rest of the trim when it would make more sense to do it all at once in one time in 1 days time, and the part about blocking on social media is because they got to the point where they was commenting on my picture like for instance once saying it would be nice if you would return and finish my job and the whole time knowing that was waiting on garage doors in order to complete and I do run a business and I do get work from my ******** page and from my work I have completed and who would want to hire a person and seeing someone saying that on there page you think other big companies don't do the same thing when someone makes statements such as that, so I took my loss and sent them there money back on the garage doors which they knew exactly how much I priced them when I bid on them so I just reimbursed them there money back plus extra money for someone to spend about 3 hours to install the said trim, they are just upset because they can't get no one to do any work for them they had to go to a total different state 100 miles away from them paying 15% more then what someone in there area would do it for because of there attitude to people are disgraceful when I sent them there money back I wrote in my letter about there attitude and everything and acting like I only sent there money back because they wanted some type of accountability and knowing where I had ordered the from if that is the case how did they know who the first company I ordered them from is because I told them who it was and there contact info and if that is the case I could of just took that money and ordered the doors from the company they was telling me to order from.

thanks for the opportunity to tell my side of the story and thank you for your time in listening, I tried to go online and do this but it keep saying that this site could't be reached if there is anything else you need you can contact by email to this account or by calling me at ************ you can also look at my ******** page and see the quality of work we complete some of which would look like in a magazine, and when you are doing top quality of work why wouldn't I block someone who is trying to hurt my business thank you for your time

I guess I need to use the proper punctuation's since I'm dealing with a educational expert but I think I was being fair I gave them back the money for the garage doors and some extra money for any additional work needed but if I was such a thief I wouldn't even do that I was trying to be fair with them and what I do to recoup my money from the company is't none of there business and it is being worked out

      Customer response

      05/11/2022

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept this response at all. The trim he said only taking a couple of hours to complete is the WHOLE garage not just the doors. I even have text to prove that he said he would be back to finish because he had to replace a piece of metal he bent. He doesn't live 100 miles away he is from Pikeville Kentucky (54 miles to be exact). When a contractor keeps telling you over and over they will be back to finish work and never does it's bad business. He is a poor excuse of a contractor . Our attitude never pushed away any other "good contractor" before. But when you search and get one from the bottom of the barrel this is the issues you have. I respected the man tried to stay patient and play his games but you can only tell so many lies and excuses before a person breaks. A year later and not complete with a 3 month job is poor.He has the worst communication issues I have ever dealt with. You CANNOT blame everything on covid. I have 90 screenshots of our whole conversation over the past year to back up everything I'm saying. If anybody that had any brains to them at all lost 3000.00 dollars wouldn't just set back and take it. That company is still in business today. When you also request information on the other garage door company he was ordering from and two minutes later he calls and says they couldn't get them gave deposit back last week then why didn't you say something? Why didn't you start looking for doors? Why were you trying to take the cheap way out? Why did I have to text him monthly and not hear a word from him. Why did I have to wait weeks before he was going to order more? Yea his page is very deceiving if I had to tell anybody that was going to deal with this man anything to call the people he done work for. Another person in our area had the same issue with him taking months to come do their work. I know that this website isn't going to settle anything there are other places to settle disputes like this and organizations. I have never had issues with anyone ever so he can't put the blame on me. I'd say he has had other issues in the past because of company name changes. If anybody was smart in the East Kentucky region they would turn this company away. Anybody that would read his response to this would understand what I'm dealing with. My nephew knows how to use, and difference between half and have and he is in kindergarten. So for **** ******* PC Construction good luck in life and be a better person because the people you ***** over is hard working people who earn their money ******* ***** *** *********
