Recently visited Pinspiration and had impeccable service. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating and made me and my kids feel very welcomed. This was not our first visit to Pinspiration but we had such an amazing visit this time that I wanted to be sure to write a review. I was surprised to see a prior review stating otherwise. My 8 year old daughter had a little trouble with her craft and she’s a bit of perfectionist. The Pinspiration employee took the time to patiently help her complete a creation she was so proud of. As a person of color with children of color, I can say with all certainty that the entire staff goes above and beyond to ensure the adults and kids alike have a good time. If you’re looking something fun to do on the weekend, I highly recommend you giving them a visit!Review from Autumn J

Very poor business located on **** S ******** Forest ***** Ste *** Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Badly managed. Lack of care for customers, in particular customers and children of color. Seriously disappointing to see management openly lying to customers about their employees' attitudes when requested for clarifications.

We would like to take a moment and elaborate on this comment. We hosted a kids birthday party with 11 participants at our studio. The party host requested half vanilla flavored and half chocolate flavored cupcakes for the kids to sing happy birthday. The moment in question is when the staff member assisting the party guest, went to switch out vanilla cupcakes for some of the kids who wanted chocolate instead. Please understand we are always willing to accommodate any and all guests the best we can. We wanted each child to have their requested flavor; so the party attendant went to the kitchen and swapped out vanilla cupcakes for chocolate flavor. She returned with one cupcake in each hand and placed them with the kids closest to her. Before returning to the kitchen, she reassured the last kid that she was coming back with his exchanged cupcake. This guest followed behind the party attendant to the kitchen to state her dissatisfaction with her child receiving his cupcake last, although he "raised his hand first". The attendant apologized, and stated that she did not notice the order in which hands were raised, and continued to retrieve the cupcake to bring to the child. This guest stayed until the end of the party (one of the last guests to leave our building) and called to file a complaint hours later. At this moment the party attendant was accused of being racist and told to look up internalized racism. The child was not the only person of color at this event; in fact, the party attendant is also a person of color, married to a person of color and raising children of color. We do not tolerate nor condone racism or discrimination of any kind. Accusations like these are hurtful, harmful and dangerous. Please, note that we have video footage with audio available to view at any given moment.
