Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/05/10) */ My name is ****** and I was project coordinator for ** ***** *** Now I should have picked up on all the red flags from the beginning from this customer. It all started when she was supposed to give a $10k down payment to start. She then when we started working said she didn't have any money and was waiting for her insurance check and mortgage to release the funds. The plan was for her to have a check ready the following week. Turned into this and that happened. We were committed so decided to keep going. Then here came the indecisive decision from her. She first said she was going to change all the outlets so I told the guys not to worry about it even though they had covered them. but then the tape came off so they didn't recover them because "everything" was going to be new. She changed her mind about 3-4 times on the floors. she didn't want her brick flooring and stated to me that she and her husband were going back and forth on changing them. So we would cover the floors and then she would say oh don't worry we are going to change them I don't care what my husband says. As for the brick wall chimney in her living room she stated she was going to get it painted white so we were painting walls and ceilings same color we decided why cover it if she's going to paint it white. Now for the painting and texture, I should've held her to her word. When drywall was hung, my guys gave her a sample of the texture in the upstairs room. She said and I quote "yeah what the **** I'm going to sell it I don't care. So then we textured all 2 floors 375 pieces of sheet-rock we had hung to the dismay that she did not like it. Why would she wait til the end. it was a big ole mess because we gave her a full room sample. I told her ok, you don't like the texture what do you want she said well if I don't sell it because my husband doesn't want to, I want it sanded down. I said you know what I don't like to have angry or disatissfied customers I will go ahead and sand it down for you. So we had to sand down 375 sheets of sheet-rock because she did not want texture anymore. Also another thing she would change her mind from one day to another. She said go ahead and demo the closets and rooms that the insurance hadn't covered. To the point that we did demo and we threw everything away and when I went and dumped the trailer, she asked hey I can't find the closet racks I decided to keep them. To this point I'm like wow, she can't make up her mind for anything. To all this yeah the floors had paint and I sent a guy to fix a couple issues with the sheet-rock tape and because now she wanted to keep some of the flooring I sent three people to clean everything up even though I could have easily said to her the reasons are because she changed her mind everyday. But I said it's fine I'll go ahead and have them clean everything up even the outlets that she said were going to be new. She then goes on this tantrum and she wants sheet-rock where there is door casing going, where there are window stools going to get installed. She had window shutters in some of the windows and stated she wanted them back so we left them without sheet-rock so they could get installed and fit, if we put sheet-rock where she wanted none of the above would've fit anymore. She got to the point where we couldn't work with her. Oh another thing she wanted, was and I have the messages from her on this. She was going back with 5 inch crown molding, so we didn't float that area, she said what if I change mi mind on that. My guy said that's why those questions get asked. Also, she wanted to float and texture where there is a shower and it's getting covered, she was trying to self contract the job and we couldn't make her understand. To the point where she was yelling at my foreman saying that she didn't pay for %90 of the work to be complete and went on this tantrum to the point to where my guys decided to leave because she was being more than rude. I have messages on how she would speak to the other contractors that would do work there. Even the electrician didn't go back to finish we don't know why but I can now imagine. At this point I am out of town on an emergency so I told her that she would have to wait for me to come back which was two days so I can get what she wanted done and we could come to an agreement because she was being unreasonable. She sent me a message saying she didn't want anyone back to her house or she would send the police. Now I sent messages to all my guys and apparently one didn't get the memo and went back late. She threatened him saying if he didn't leave she was going to call ICE on him. Like seriously, all she had to do was call or text or just let him know(his phone had broken so he was just trying to go and make sure he got the work done so she would be happy because he had rushed the fixing of the ceiling tape repair and it fell Which was what he went to go do and finished but of coarse she didn't add those pictures. I tried and tried to keep her happy but she is just very indecisive and unreasonable. We didn't even finish her balcony because she then decided she didn't want the railing I had picked and she had agreed to, she wanted a metal railing. At this point I was just done, there's only so much you can do for someone and til the very last part I was there trying to keep her happy even though she changed her mind a thousand times. I'm sorry this had to come of it and I kept trying and offered to clean all those areas even though she like I stated is indecisive and unreasonable.
