I hired Acadian flooring to install porcelain tiles after removing tiles. I have paid $10,784 for removal and installation. I did pay for furniture moving. I did decide to move everything except for two Lazy Boy recliners, a buffet, my refrigerator, and a kitchen table with chairs. I did however already have a spot in another room cleared out for each of those items. I showed them where each item went. They moved the two chairs and told us the other pieces they would just move over when they needed. This created two issues. My items left in the construction zone were a mess. It took hours to clean them,and it should not have happened. The other issue is the uneven tiles that happened when they moved a refrigerator to wet tiles (we will discuss that issue further down). I am sure this company has processes in place for a reason. This crew did not seem to care that our furniture was filthy. They did not clean it off, they actually had drawn pictures in the dust on the buffet. Since it was furniture, we had paid to move, and I specifically pointed out to them those items needed moved. And there is brown grout, that is not removable, on our wooden cabinets. They apparently did not see it. It did not get wiped off and will now need to be scraped or sanded off creating a blemish on our cabinets. There is a very large chip out of a tile in the middle of the kitchen and approximately 52 tiles are uneven, able to trip over uneven. They removed a wooden transition and left nails sticking up , luckily no one was injured. The worst is in the kitchen by the refrigerator where the tile was just laid and wet and they moved they refrigerator across it so they could lay more (yes that same refrigerator I asked them to place in another room on day one). The crew created these issues. It was not unexpected or something that just happened. It was sloppy work. There also is a tile loose and pops every time it is stepped on. After installation was completed, *** ****** paid his balance in full. Nothing was mentioned of any problems. He then called and said there was a chipped tile and grout on some cabinets in the kitchen. He said he had taken pictures. I asked that he email them to me so I can write up a call back and notify my general manager. I never received an email or call back. This is the only notification since that call. I am forwarding this information to the general manager and we will be in touch with *** *******
