Baton Rouge, LA Placed svc order online with all details of make, model & serial number for dryer purchased new 2019. Next day service was available. Received call day service was supposed to occur but, was told not available & it would be the next day. I took off of work. The intake person, verified all online entry info & dryer issues. Dryer working fine, needed wheel bearings changed-illiciting high-pitched squeal while running. I req a 30 min phone call prior to arrival & to please have tech have available parts with them. No phone call, no text from tech! Tech did not even look at me or greet me by name. Entered my home, took top off dryer, rolled drum around, and put top back on - took 15 min. Took a phone call while working on my dryer & talked about another product and how he did not know much about refrigerators. Tells me I need a dryer repair set & does not have the part in his vehicle, but has numerous parts for a washer. When I asked him, you knew you were coming to fix a dryer today & you came with nothing. (Recall I requested this with the dispatcher who set the service call up the day before) Dryer did not get fixed. Instead, I got a 15 min top off with a look & roll of drum to tell me what I already knew. I asked him how did he know what the problem was, he stated he'd been doing this for 11 years. Yet, he comes UNPREPARED to fix a dryer!!!! A complete waste of my time & charge was $130.00 pre-paid! He quotes me parts & labor of $325.00 to return to fix the dryer, which would mean another few hours off of work. Tells me maybe next day or 2 days later. Call Solar to speak w/ manager. Waited for 10 min for someone to take my call. Mgr called after 5 & left message. Stated impossible to keep parts on vehicle. THEN WHY does the customer INPUT ALL THE DETAILED INFORMATION PRIOR to have a service tech come with NOTHING! NEVER again Solar, price gouging, crappy tech, & terrible service. DO NOT USE this company!! Terrible! They will just take your money.
