I am an injured ex spouse after divorce. In my divorce, I was mandated by the courts to deed my property in *********** to an ex spouse, as he deed me our property in Mississippi. I was told by Riverland Credit Union that I could not be removed from loan unless my ex refinanced the loan or sold the property. After divorce, all communication and payments were made between my ex and Riverland Credit Union. My spouse sold the property recently and missed his March payment. Riverland reported This delinquency to my consumer reporting even after explaining the issue with them. I even provided them the recorded deed I gave to him. They refused to remove the negative item and in addition their consumer agent ********************************* was disrespectful and stated divorce is hard and proceeded to tell me that they would not remove this negative item from my report. This has cause me harm because it is affecting my ability to secure a mortgage now. In addition, prior to our divorce, an accommodation was made to reduce monthly payments so the ex could afford the payments. Therefore, they are not following the Credit reporting rules as stated by the CARES ACT for accounts with accommodation and in current good standing. This account is now paid in full as the property has been sold and Riverland received their payout. Why do they continue to report negatively on my report. This is unfair and against the rules set by CARES ACT. I hope you can help me resolve this. Attached is address where all correspondence to the ex spouse was going to.
