I paid Foster Mobile Homes to break down my double wide mobile home and to move it from **** *** **** To ******** Lane and put back together they moved it and just left it not putting it back together and he said that I have to pay him 2,300 more before he put it back together and I've paid 8,957. But the agreement was for 8,000 and my house has been just sitting here for the last 5 months.

      Business response

      05/25/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/08) */ Mrs. ******'s double wide home was relocated from **** *** *** to ******** ***** ********* Louisiana, per her request and agreed on, per our written and verbal agreement. The job was stopped when Mrs. ****** insisted on placing the home where the home could not be placed which was under power lines due to easements, which a SWEPCO representative confirmed after further investigation. We suggested two options; 1st option was to move the service power line and the second option, we suggested was to pull the home up and back from the location she desired. She wanted to do the second option, but that would put a large tree at the front door of the home. At that point we were waiting on Mrs. ****** to inform us that the tree had been cut and removed. I have spoken to Mrs. ****** twice since the home was spotted, (placed on location), and we have sent people by to check on the home and the tree had not been removed. Last I was told Mrs. ****** wanted to cut the tree before we move the house forward and set it, but she said she didn't have the money to pay the tree man. Our verbal and written agreement states that any extra work which includes use of heavy equipment costs extra from the original quote. Extra work on this job included the cost of welding hitches onto the mobile home because they were none. Also, the use of a translift machine which is heavy equipment to move the home across the large ditch on Hwy 527 was extra work. Also matting of the home on location was extra work. The $2,300 she is talking about is to cover the cost of the installation of two hitches, crossing the ditch, and matting to get the home off and on both locations. The home still has all Foster Home's axles and tires on the home because we intended to pull the home forward and set it up, but have not received a call from the customer that her tree had been removed. The value on our axles and tires, currently on her home is $3,000. She also said to me, " that was fine with the additional cost, just get the home moved, we have the money". If Mrs. ****** wants to set the home up herself we can gladly come to an agreement. What does Mrs. ****** have in mind as to how to resolve this where both parties are satisfied. We look forward to resolving this quickly. Regards, **** D. I talked to Mr **** Malloy on 4/7/22 and he's is still asking for more money in order for him to complete the job that I have already paid him to do and he said that I had no business making a complaint against his company and I haven't heard from him since.
