I am a current patient of Adult and Pediatric Dermatology in **********, **. Back on 4/9/21, I saw ******************************* for a new patient exam regarding acne scarring and the treatment options going forward. She recommended a series of four chemical peels and two topical prescriptions. I paid for the new patient exam and the four chemical peel package deal on that day for a total of $607.86. On 9/3/21, I went back for my fourth and last chemical peel. Somewhere along the lines, they had added in a consultation to that appointment as well. We did not discuss anything that would necessitate a consult. I simply received my last chemical peel and made a follow-up visit for a month out to evaluate the completed treatment results. I ended up canceling that follow-up visit within a week when I received a random **** for $246. When I called to question this ****, I brought up all of the appointment dates and fees coinciding with those visits, explaining that I do not owe anything more. I had to call three different times to follow up with them about this situation because no one got back to me. Every time I spoke with them, they were unable to figure out where this fee was coming from. Eventually, I received a paper in the mail stating the unpaid fee went to collections. I called them again and they got back to me a week later in an email stating they had charged me for an office visit because of the added "consult" in the September appointment. A consultation that I did not have. This is still an unresolved issue, and I am extremely disappointed in how this billing error has been handled overall.Customer response
