BBB spoke directly with the business and they advised that they did attempt to find a replacement hubcap for the consumer, however the consumer wanted an exact match to the other hub caps and the business was unable to find an exact match.

I am rejecting this response because: He was supposed to get me a new set of hubcaps on the weekend and call me at the beginning of the week when they were in never heard no response from them. Now the check engine light is on also and the car doesn't run right it was also on when I picked it up that day.

      Sincerely,

See the certified letter I mailed last month, attached, but the owner refused to sign for it? In a nut shell he ruined my 2002 F150 Ford truck. He had a 90 minute job to do when I dropped it off (see letter attached) Plugs #'s 4, 6, 7 and 8. Instead he snapped the special #3 plug when I had added a re-threaded plug kit 2 years prior. I dropped the truck off around the last week of February, first week of March. My truck has been sitting there for 7 months completely inoperable, and no contact from the owner, with seemingly no intention to finish the repair. My wife is aware of the entire history. I have no letters, billing statements from him stating I owe for this and that, as he knows its his fault, and now I seemingly get a middle finger from him. Please help resolve. My truck, which has working and income producing value is fairly worth $4000, plus another $1000 for taxes, registration etc, as I go to replace it I sent a DOC attachment, please confirm you received. Thanks ******** *********

Has there been any dialogue or response from the Auto repair Company? Did he receive my written complaint?

I would just like to drive home the point that:

1 he has had my truck now for 7 months or so

      2. He knows his employee caused the damage and that he is responsible for the repair, and the eventual reasonable replacement cost, as I wrote out in my letter

      3. He has not contacted me for over a month, he has my info and text contact, and he has not sent me any repair costs or bills knowing he is responsible. He should be asked if he plans

to continue the repair until done??

      Thanks you

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

He's lying, I just checked. The passenger door is ajar (interior light drains the battery) as you have to be careful that it closes properly. Over 7 months
this has happened a couple times, and along with the engine ground wire being mishandled by them resulting in an engine start up whereas only the
right side of the large 8 Cylinder 5.4L engine fired up with the left side not!, most likely as the the internet states "shorting out the ECM" Electronic Control Module
(the truck computer) can be caused by a bad ground and a 100% dead battery.  He tried to pass this expense, insinuated, on to me. I addressed this in my
      complaint letter.

The interior, under the glove box area is still torn apart where he was accessing the ECM.  Not completed. I will go this weekend and take time stamped photos showing this
and proving he lied to you, as well as using this in Court where I assume this is the next step?  This guy is a real *******. What business does this?

I would appreciate him being confronted about the lie to you, BBB, and perhaps I can get a copy of this exchange?

Are there any more steps you can take before I go to the Courts?

      Thanks

A&J Auto Repair shop ruined my 2002 F150 and made it inoperable after spending 6 months on your property. I Brought in to Change 4 spark plugs, and an incompetent mechanic snapped the #4 plug, (your words but it was the #3 altered plug installed with a kit which I installed) and which led to a whole host of problems explained below.

Jason, on or around late February of early March i dropped of my truck to have 4 Spark plugs replaced… #4, #6, #7 and #8 Cylinders and since you were removing the plugs you agreed to
Replace my ignition coils which I provided. You still have the truck after 6 months????

I stopped in the next day (as it was less than a two hour job), you spoke to me excitedly that the #4 plug
snapped inside, blew out I believe is the description you used and it needs a replacement kit, and you also implied you installed the kit already?, or doing it soon. It didn’t take me long to realize you were talking about the #3 plug (you were not supposed to touch this plug!, as the #4 needed replacement). You lied to me, pure and simple! When I confronted you and told you that I myself added this kit to the #3 plug a few years ago! And that you were only supposed to change the #4 plug. You checked and I was right, your Ace mechanic did not know the difference on the plugs and the firing order. Your face turned red as you were caught in a lie, like most mechanics do. You told me shortly after this that you fired this mechanic.

Now 6 months later You still have my truck sitting in your lot and no one has the competence to repair it? You could not get the broken plug out, so you moved the engine up and forward to get a better angle with the intake manifold removal….still no good! So now from a simple 1.5 hour job you have to remove the engine?  And you still could not get the broken plug out.  FYI another mechanic in Woonsocket said no problem, easy to get out, we have the tool!

So then the engine sat on your shop floor for what, 2 Months?!  Then you decided the engine needed an entire new head on the Passenger side. So you sourced a used one. As you recall I stopped in every week to see progress, primarily because I never receive any communication from you, and indeed it seemed like you were slow walking everything. Not on your service priority, “gosh, I screwed up his truck, I gotta make the right ASAP”

Then it came time to reinstall the engine. I stopped by often to monitor progress. One night your blondish haired worker was in a sweat, said he had to move and lift the engine up after re-seating it, doing it quickly (doing it quickly before his boss came back?) he told me that the engine fuel injection harness got caught and stuck with the motor mount or something, and presumably damaged when he was lowering the engine. He was embarrassed and stayed quiet. I mentioned this to you and you thanked me for informing you. Clearly your responsibility! I believe you also told me later that you fired this mechanic as well…..and furthermore he was working by himself with the engine going in, and out….its a minimum of two mechanics required to coordinate. To this day I believe the Engine harness is still damaged, but your not the type of owner who will do what it takes to correct a wrong that you created.

When you went to start the truck only the drivers side 4 Cylinders fired up??, not the other half of the engine where the original damage occurred? I reminded you again about to wire harness damage, mostly including the 4 fuel injector wiring plugs. So the next couple days you had a worker going though all this wiring, and you told me yes, the wiring connections simply pulled apart so they needed
to be reconnected and fused into place. [You also told me that you’ve looked for two days looking for a bad engine ground wire to the Frame}FYI, those wires can break apart in the middle, not just the fuel
Injector connections, depending on how much heat the wires are subjected to. It would have been prudent to replace the entire harness as you know, we discussed this...

FYI, when that did not work all of a sudden I now have a bad truck ECM computer...Imagine that? You ran the truck several times with only a half of an engine and seemingly a bad engine ground?, and again you tried to make the argument that it was my fault (trying to build a way to get out of the costs you incurred from your mistakes?  That ground wire screwed into the frame has been in my sights for 15 years with all the brake job changes I have done. But you disconnected the engine ground when you pulled the engine (ECM was working), and about 45 days later you reconnected this ground. Convenient to say my fault to deflect your responsibility in paying for your gross mistakes.

There was nothing wrong with it until you starting pulling the engine, or not reconnecting it. Or pulling the engine and forgetting to remove it, and yanking it out! I know what bad grounds can do as I recently experienced this on my Diesel boat engine. If the onboard ECM (computer) is corrupt because of wiring, and grounding damage, or from the truck sitting for months where the power drains, as this will cause damage. My ECM has always worked perfectly, until your mechanics got involved.

So now your on the hook to repair/replace my on board PC and you still cannot get it done?? Again because you told me today someone removed the Ladidadidi from it...again making excuses. At this point I lost my cool. I can’t file a criminal incompetence report with the police, but I may file a civil complaint in the Providence district court for $5,000,…..what It would cost me to replace the truck with taxes and registration. You didn’t like what I said today Re: filing a complaint with the proper authorities, police included, you simply said get a tow truck and get your truck out of here! Nice customer service! I have been polite and respectful all along but didn’t want to listen to another round of your BS! Your busy fixing all other cars except mine that you damaged!

My truck was running beautifully when I brought it in, it was only misfiring on the #7 plug. You have caused me a lot of inconvenience over the last 6 months! All in a days work, right?

It is my hope that you resolve this before I take it further with Google reviews, BBB, yelp and others
