I had a computer virus, I contacted ****** for a solution, I paid the $129.99, when it wasn't working out I called ******'s toll free number and got what I thought was an agent of ******, actually the told me they were better and refunded the $129.99 and said they would fix the virus for good for $299.99, so i agreed and paid on April 1st, the virus didn't go away, so I called them (******) and he said he couldn't fix my problem, so he refunded my the $299.99 the same day April 1st, I ended up buying Norton which is working very well for me at $10.00 a month service fee. On April 27th I noticed an unauthorized charge to my credit card for $299.99, it was All Around Fix fraudulently charging my credit card for no services, I contacted the band and won a refund of the funds they clearly stole, I thought I was finally done with these scammers, turns out they charged me again for ZERO services, and leaving me voicemails to review their services, they NEVER solved and problems for me, all I know is I have a crooked scammer with my credit information that feels free to steal money from me for NO services, TOTALLY a crooked scam company, BEWARE!!!!Business response

This company told me I had Norton protection included in the purchase price of $299.99. I have not had Norton protection until today, June 4, 2024. I purchased their service on April 11, 2022. They should refund a portion of my money due to telling me I had Norton protection when I DID NOT UNTIL TODAY, JUNE 4, 2024. Since they did not provide what they promised I believe they owe me a refund for the months I was not covered by ******. They have REFUSED to give me any of my money back for the service I was told I had and DID NOT HAVE FOR WELL OVER A YEAR.Thank you!Customer response

I tried to contact ****** to update my virus protection but the number I was given was not theirs but was for Allroundfix.LLC. When I called the number they told me they were the ************ for ****** and asked me to select a plan to check my computer and then told me that they could fix another computer that had been hacked on a plan for the next 3 years. I foolishly believed them and charged the fee to my credit card. They worked on my computer for nearly an hour. Then called me back and said ****** had been installed on my computer. When I used my computer later the shortcut had been removed I called McAfee this morning and they said this was not a part of their company. I called my credit card company and they said that because I had agreed to the charge there was nothing they could do about the charge. The company" address is :************************************. do I have any way of recovering my money from them?Business response

I had questions regarding the McAfee support on my computer, and googled their customer service number. I was taken to a page presenting itself as McAfee customer support, but it was not. It took me some time to realize this, as a technician (who apparently worked for JustAnswer.LLC) took remote control of my screen, made technical changes, advised me of services I did not need, and then transitioned me to an abusive manager who told me I had already received services and needed to to pay for comprehensive tech support for either $399.99 for 3 years to $499.99 for five years. No documentation was provided enumerating the type of support I was to receive, or how to receive it. I have no idea of the relationship between JustAnswer LLC and Allaroundfix. After a protracted argument with the Allaroundfix manager, I felt I had no choice but to authorize the $399.99 transaction. Afterwards, I immediately looked up this company and saw many others filing complaints about Allaroundfix masquerading as McAfee customer support, which is fraudulent and deceptive. They send me an invoice, then sent me the email (attached below), somehow having the email sent from MY email account TO my email account, asserting that I authorized the transaction. I immediately responded that the email was NOT from me and was fraudulent. I believe it is strong evidence that Allaroundfix is trying to cover their tracks by creating phony evidence that customers are willingly procuring their "services" (which I still don't know what they are!). I filed an initial complaint on this site. I called my bank and put a freeze on the pending transaction to Allaroundfix. I Allaroundfix wants their money, they need to provide me in writing an enumeration of the services they provide, and how to procure those services. I also expect an apology for their deceptive and abusive business practices.Business response

I searched for McAfee customer service in ****** and I found a number that I thought was McAfee. Instead I was connected to All Round Fix, LLC. The representative acted like he was a third party of McAfee customer service to fix my virus and renewal subscription. They immediately had me to log them into my computer to act like they were going to fix it and began to tell me to purchase a 3 or 5 year subscription when I already purchased a McAfee renewal. They told me that they will issue the McAfee refund and I needed to purchase a plan to help with identity fraud. I was sold and ended up giving them my credit card to fix my issue and thats when I realized they had me to agree to the purchase and I saw All Round Fix and not McAfee. Charging me $139 when I had already paid $89 for McAfee. I was given my credit card to someone who I didnt know and who had access to my computer. I was terrified! Thats when I looked up reviews for the company and realized others were scammed as well. I immediately called my bank to notify them of fraud and stop all charges. They had access to my computer and said it will take 1 hour to fix it and wanted to hangs up once they received my credit card info. Then I noticed they reached out to ****** pretending to be me on my computer to issue a refund. When the McAfee rep asked for my last 4 digits of my credit card, the scammer kept asking other questions. He eventually disconnected the chat pretending to be me. They are scammers. Dont fall for it!Business response

At Allroundfix LLC we believe in transparency in business and give high regard to Customer Satisfaction. Here few important point we should notice in initial complaint customer was saying we have never given her service or norton security software, now she is saying she was not aware that we are giving her norton and how come we are misrepresenting us if she is already aware that we are Allroundfix LLC and we are the reseller of security softwares and also paid on our printed invoice and she has also done authorised signature documents. Later she came to us and asked for refund and we have also refunded $200 as goodwill gesture still she has made the complaint with wrong intention of her for taking complete money back, she has also mentioned there is no such norton product which comes for 3 years for that we request every one please refer to the norton website and can check there are products which comes for 3 and 5 years too and we also have the license key record which we have redeemed on her account and name. The technician went ahead and fixed the issue and also installed the security software. Later when our customer service team contacted her for feedback, she confirmed that her issue has been resolved and security is working fine, after few days of taking services and our licensed software she showed her intention for full refund and as a customer centric company we have also raised the partial refund of $200 on her request which she agreed to settled it. Still she has raised the false complaint to better business bureau. A consumer should be more prudent when dealing with a company that is as customer-friendly and consumer-centric as we are. You had an issue and we resolved. We believe he would be satisfied with our service and if not, we appreciate if the customer contacts us to resolve the issue. If customer is still not happy with the services, we do refund policy in place. We would appreciate if customer contact us and discuss the matter to close this matter.Customer response

10-5-23, I contacted ****** and somehow was transferred to Allroundfix. I paid them $599.99 for 5 years of continous service on my laptop. The week of 10-22-23 I was in northern ********* and lost WIFI. I only had airplane mode and bluetooth available on my laptop. When back in town I took my laptop to my local vendor. They worked on it , got WIFI availablity back but could not get online. Then they kept working on it and once Allroundfix was removed my laptop works. I feel they did something to make it not work and either the same day or the next day I received an email to contact them for maintenance. I was only to contact them every 3 months...makes you wonder why they contacted me about maint... maybe they knew the issue.Business response

The transaction occurred last night. I looked on the internet for a customer service phone number for Norton/Lifelock. My search ended when I googled Norton/Lifelock customer service number and I clicked on it. I went to the page which showed the customer service number. I called the number which was **************. I learned today that is not a Norton/Lifelock number. Someone answered and said "if you want to talk with a representative, press #1" and I did. I began talking with ***************************. I later found out that he did not work for Norton. Rather, he worked for Allroundfix. He said that Allroundfix was a tech company who worked solely for Norton. He told me about breaches to my computer and then offered me prices to fix it. I chose the 3-year plan. I believed I was buying a Norton product. Norton told me today that they only offer a one year plan or monthly plans. I gave ***** my bank card #. He said that the charge would show on my bank statement as "Allroundfix". I thought that Norton had outsourced some of their work. He then took over my computer and "fixed" all of the problems. I have no idea if he fixed them or not. I do not feel that I can believe anything that I heard from employees of Allroundfix--at **************. Also, prior to the end of my call, ***** had created an e-mail that stated that all of my problems had been fixed and then signed my name. I told him that I would have to use the computer for several days to see if everything was correct. I instructed him to NOTSEND THE REPONSE THAT HE CREATED. He transferred me to his supervisor, **** at extension 113, and I told **** about the e-mail. .This morning I talked to *** at Allroundfix and he said that his company was a "refeller" for Norton. He spelled that word for me. i'm pretty sure it is not a word. He also saw that e-mail--that I insisted be deleted-- that I said I was pleased with their services. I don't think any work was done. My computer is very slow.Business response

This is with regards to the complaint ID: # ******** on Better Business Bureau for a transaction of $499.99 On 9th June 2022 you called us from the number ********** for the issue related to his security software & slow computer not receiving updates issues. As the customer had an issue with her security software & windows, she searched online for assistance and got our support through Search engine listing. Our support team investigated the issue and informed the customer that current security software on his computer was expired long back, so he suggested Expert Support, Setup and Install - Onsite Visit (Valid up to 6 months) + Norton Security Deluxe - 3-Year / 3-Device + 1 ****************** support and Service . Thus, the customer purchased the security and support from our online store and paid $499.99. On successful online purchase. We have resolved the issue and took the email confirmation.
Later, the case was transferred to the technician who optimised the computer and activated licensed security software & windows on it. The customer gave confirmation on the call as well on email regarding issue resolution. We have also emailed the customer the product license key & customer herself gave acknowledgement regarding receiving of the Product license software.
It was a shock to us when we found that *** had raised a complaint at Better Business Bureau on for a refund of $499.99, we went ahead and resolved his issue and activated the security software on his system. The customer made a false allegation to affect the goodwill of the company with an intends to get her refund.
As per our complete disclosure rules, we informed the customer that we were a third party and informed our company name and the same is clearly mentioned in every email and invoice sent to the customer during the period of the transaction. Moreover, we went ahead installed & activated licensed security software on her system the licensed was registered and activated under customer email address and Refunds will NOT BE provided for any software downloads or licensed software installations (i.e. Antivirus software, Operating System installs)

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.Allroundfix misrepresented themselves when they said they would sell me a Norton product. This product was for a term of 3 years. After speaking with Norton, I realize that Norton does not have a 3-year product. Originally, Allroundfix attempted to debit my bank account through a debit card. That transaction did not go through. The debit card was cancelled/blocked by my bank on 6/10/22. Allroundfix waited until June 27th and presented their fee of $299.99 on a cancelled debit card. I never agreed to pay them $299.99 for services rendered. I did agree to pay a much lesser amount but they declined my offer. Then, 17 days later, they used the original transaction number and the charge went through--on a debit card that had been cancelled/blocked for 17 days. I filed a grievance with my bank and that grievance is being processed by VISA--who issued the old debit card. Allroundfix continues to correspond with me through e-mails and phone calls. They are not aware that I want NOTHING to do with them ever again. I originally googled "Norton customer service phone number." The number that I reached was that of Allroundfix. I have alerted Norton that this is what happened to me and they have opened a case due to this misrepresentation on the internet.

On 5/20/2022, I googled a phone number for Norton Lifelock and called the toll-free number listed by ******* The reason for the call was to question a charge earlier that day from Norton renewing my coverage which was not due until 6/24/2002. The support person I spoke with, who said his name was ***************************, told me the charge was incorrect and that multiple people had been communicating with my Wifi and saving files on my computer. He took control access of my computer and showed me unidentifiable language to convince me. He then turned me over to a "level 5" support tech, *****, to clean my computer and fix the problem. He also highly recommended I purchase firewall protection from AllRoundFix for $199 for 1 year, $349 for 3 years or $549 for 5 years to prevent this from happening in the future. He had no answer when I asked him why my Norton Lifelock had not protected me as Wifi protection come with the service. Unfortunately, I agreed to an electronic check payment of $349. After feeling uneasy about the transaction, I recontacted Norton twice and was told that I was protected by their service and they would never recommend outside wifi protection. On 5/21/2022, I contacted my bank to explain the situation and ask that a hold be placed on this transaction and my account, which was done. I will meet with the bank on 5/23/2022 to set up another account. Moral of the story: DO NOT LOOK UP PHONE NUMBERS ON THE INTERNET. CONTACT YOUR SECURITY COMPANY DIRECTLY FROM YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT. It was a shock to us when we found that had raised a complaint at Better Business Bureau, The customer has never called or emailed us for the refund or anyother issue & as per the customer she contacted ******, we are not associated with ****** Services. This is the classic refund scam case, where is customer contacted us and made a check on our company name and also taken our paid software & services and never paid by later stopping her check and how come its possible without checking the company details, shared the personal details. Moreover We have a strict policy of non-solicitation via outbound calls or emails. We do not engage customers that way.

I do not accept AllRoundFixs explanation for the following reasons:
AllRoundFix misrepresented their toll-free phone number in ****** as belonging to Norton LifeLock support. I contacted them thinking I was speaking to Norton. I spoke with ***************************, who did not contradict me when I asked if I was speaking to Norton support. I explained that I had a billing question regarding a charge of $274.99 to my credit card for renewal of ******* services, specifically asking why the amount charged was much more than I had paid 1 year ago. ****** informed me that the charge to my credit card was fraudulent and the actual amount should have been approximately $112-$113. THIS WAS A LIE. In later conversations with Norton, I was informed that the charge was correct and I have since renewed my subscription with them.
****** requested that I go into my Prefetch files and asked me to try to read one. I was unable to read the file because it is written in computer speak code and unreadable. ****** then informed me that my computer had been compromised and that these files had been placed on my computer by others communicating with my Wi-Fi. NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE. PREFETCH FILES ARE NORMAL FILES THAT ALLOW THE COMPUTER TO FUNCTION QUICKLY AND OPTIMALLY. I did not know this at the time.
I repeatedly asked ****** why my *********************** had not protected me from this fraud, but he never answered. His solution was to recommend that I purchase another protection plan to protect my Wi-Fi from outside interference. My choices were $199.99 for 1 year, $349.99 for 3 years, or $549.99 for 5 years. I chose the 3-year plan. ****** then informed me that the charge would show up as AllRoundFix and not Norton. When I asked why, ****** stated that Norton outsources their support products. THIS WAS ALSO A LIE. NORTON LATER INFORMED ME THAT THEY NEVER OUTSOURCE THEIR SUPPORT SERVICES.
After helping me handle the charges through my bank by electronic payment, ****** connected me with *****, his level 5 support tech to clean my computer, install the protection and request cancellation and refund of the charges for ***********************s. I observed ***** the entire time and saw no products being installed on my computer. That was later confirmed by computer experts at ******* Computer who inspected my computer for any malware, spyware, etc. and found nothing had been installed on my computer, including any protection software. It cost me $159 to have ******* Computer inspect my computer and verify that it had not been compromised.
Both ****** and ***** informed me several times to call only AllRoundFix in the future for support for any problems with any of my devices, including mobile phones, laptop and desktop computers and my printer. I was not to call any other support services.
After the transaction with AllRoundFix on 5/20/22, I found a legitimate phone number for Norton LifeLock on my online account. Norton informed me that they never outsource their support services or products, that I had been scammed and to contact my bank, which I did.
AllRoundFix has attempted to contact me multiple times by phone and email asking about my satisfaction with their services and more recently, informing me that ***** had been fired and not to accept any phone calls from him.
Because of this scam, I was required by my bank to close 6 accounts and reopen them under new account numbers. I have had to change multiple automatic debits and credits to these accounts, which takes months to complete. Despite this, I feel fortunate that I was able to stop the fraudulent charges from AllRoundFix and not lose any money to them. From reading some of the other multiple BBB complaints about this company, it appears that others were not as fortunate.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
*************************Business response

My complaint is with Nicholas Rosa of Allaroundfix LLC technical support. This transaction took place on March 01, 2022. I was having a problem with signing onto my Norton Lifelock account and I clicked on support. The representative appeared to be very helpful and went into my computer and checked my Norton account and the products I had purchased. He merged my account and my husband's Norton Lifelock accounts and said it is the same account. He told me I had purchased features that I did not need because they were included in Lifelock, but that I had not purchased an anti-virus program and needed to add that. I had assumed that the virus protection was included in my Norton account. He said no and said he would add it to my Norton account. He charged my visa account $99.99 for the virus protection. He also promised to work on a rebate of one of the features he removed and said I did not need it. After the call, I thought about all that had taken place and it began to feel very suspicious because I could not see where any subscription had been added. The receipt did not say what I had purchased. I looked them up online and found many scam reports of this company pretending to be the tech support for Norton. I did not wish to call him direct because he was so slick. Supporting Documents are attached.
