I asked ***'s opinion about a grandfather clock.He told me if he services it, it would be worth around $5000. dollars and he could help me sell it. The service would cost $600. dollars.After ge had his father pick it up, he told me it would cost more because of parts needed. Then he told me again it would be more due to more service etc.After giving him over twice the initial quote, he said he doesn't broker clocks, he would put a picture of it in his shop.Very dishonest, bait you then leave you hanging.

The owner is straight up, a THIEF! I brought him a vintage Movado watch to repair, he repaired it for.. what the watch is worth, but I let that go.I asked if he would take it on consignment and see if it sells. He agreed. I gave him: a Movado case with all the documents for the watch, the watch, and an extra leather watch band that was included in the case. Not hearing anything a month later,I came to pick up my watch, which I decided to gift to a friend. When I asked for my watch back, he first asked me is there a rush?Then he proceeded to hand me a movado watch with a band, which, while I cant confirm was 100% fake, I CAN confirm was 100% NOT MINE. Im a CPA who spent many years as an Auditor so I was the wrong person to try to fool.First of all, I said, I brought this to you in a case. He said what case? I said, the original Movado case, that the watch came in. He didnt say a word, went into his office, *instantaneously* found my case, and begrudgingly gave it to me. Inside were the original documents, but no extra band. Second of all, I said, this is NOT my watch. He said, what do you mean?I said, starting to get aggravated, *this* is NOT my watch! Mine is smaller and looks different. He started rummaging thru his watches to find it, I suggested he look at the watch documents for the right watch model to look for. He ignored this, which only showed me that he didnt need to see it, as he knew perfectly well which one it was and that it was NOT the one he gave back to me. Finally he found my watch, & with 0 apologies or ANY words at all, handed it to me while turning around & walking back into his office. I confirmed it was mine and placed it back inside the case myself. UH, hold on a second, I said, this watch came with another, brand new, patent leather watch band, which was in this case. He, looking me in the eyes, said I dont remember. and walked back into his office. I left the store absolutely APPALLED!!!!
