*************************** cheated us of $11,000.On July 30, 2022, we met with *************************** at our house and executed a contract for over $100,000 for exterior work on our house. We gave him a deposit of $35,000. He deposited the check on August 9, 2022.In September 2022, ********* dropped off deck boards at our house to be used as part of this work. On September 24, 2022, we met again at our house and ********* said he cant do the project for the agreed-upon price. After discussion, he agreed to refund us the difference between the $35,000 deposit and the actual cost of Azek decking he purchased and had delivered to us. He estimates the decking cost $24,000 but agreed to provide a receipt to calculate the actual amount of the refund.After that, he ghosted us. Emails sent to his assistant (and also, he told us, his girlfriend) **** were ignored. So too were text messages and voice messages.On November 15, 2022 we filed a breach of contract claim with the *************************. That case is now pending.I'm happy to speak directly to you about this. Shame on you ************** for totally distorting the truth of what you've done!! When you and ********* met to discuss the contract after many meetings, you only payed 1/2 of the deposit due at signing. You told *********, who is a trusting man, that "you would pay the other 1/2 after you received some money from the sale of a property". In your other scathing reviews you stated that ********* CASHED your check, which isn't possible with a check made out to a business. Your comments keep changing. ********* deposited your check in his business account in order to purchase YOUR Azek, which is very expensive, for both of your decks and had it delivered to YOUR home. He did this without even getting the other half of the deposit that you promised so that he and his crew could start your decks. You then told ********* that you wanted to add steel railings to the lower, ground level deck. You even pencilled it in on the job description of the contract! He was also about to order the steel railings for the upper deck only per the contract. Adding more obviously would cost more money in materials and labor. In your other scathing posts, you stated that ********* just said that "he couldn't do it for the price on the contract", never mentioning what you added. Did you expect him to pay for the extra materials and labor? The contract would have to be amended due to your additions to it. You still had not put the other 1/2 of the deposit down and you started adding more. Did it occur to you that the plans were drawn and measured by our architect, that ********* spent hours with you, that he spent time on line getting you the best quality and prices for the materials, had me type up a three page contract for you and started a new, amended contract. Do you think that all of that should be free as well as the extra railings? Then, you post that I am his girlfriend when I've been married for 33 years to the man I met when I was 15! You also posted MY full name and home address on Nextdoor.com, which removed your entire post and all of the horrible posts from people that we don't even know, thank God. You put it on his business website, H.A. and here on the BBB all differently. I live on a posted, private St. with my Autistic Son. After your postings, I had 3 different trucks on 3 different occasions come up my street, sit in front of our home for **** minutes, then leave. I now make sure that my doors are locked day and night, which I've never had to do in the 32 years we've lived in this peaceful neighborhood. ********* immediately contacted his lawyer and was told that we should notify the police, that the contract was never valid due to your bogus story about the rest of the deposit that was never fulfilled and that we must *** this man for slander, defamation of character, breaching an incomplete & changed by you contract etc...Now you add this additional lie about talking to all of these other customers and contractors, defaming *********, his business and I again when he has NO unpaid debt to contractors, employees or businesses. He had a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Home Advisor, which he has been a client of for decades. He has many and mostly 5 and 4.5 star reviews. People that resort to this type of behavior tend to be cowards and storytellers. A lawyer that we recently did remodeling for notified us when she saw your rants. She had also posted a 5* review after her job done by *********. She posted that her experience had been NOTHING like what you were describing. She actually told ********* to contact his attorney ASAP. I answer every call that comes into this office or on my scheduling line. ********* returns calls in the evenings after work and on the weekends. I respond to the emails that come in. I talked with you several times. *********, the architect and the ******* came to your home several times prior to this. He's been a builder for many years and over those years he's run into a few people like you. It's a sad, scary and unpeaceful time that we currently live in because of this hateful, angry behaviour. You don't have any idea of *********** "typical behavior". I've seen him do jobs at no charge for people that truly need help and don't have the funds. I've told him jokingly, many times that "he should go work for Habitat For Humanity". ** and read all of his 4 and 5 star reviews, there are many. He's a kind, hard working, giving man that always puts the customer first until someone behaves like this to the point of attacking him, his business and even his 58 year old secretary's safety.
