We hired Alex K**** (Colonial Home Improvement 501 Miller St Ludlow Ma, 01056). I hired Alex to do a bathroom renovation that consisted of taking down old sheet rock walls and ceiling and replacing with new sheet rock, replacing the old vanity, medicine cabinet and toilet, In addition removing tub and replacing with a walk-in shower kit. On the project completion day we let Alex know that the sheet rock and trim work was poorly done. Sheet rock was uneven and flawed, the trim was not cut correctly to fit appropriately squired. We agreed we would get discount of $300. A day after project completion the walk-in shower was leaking going via the floor down into the homes basement. Alex and his plumber did return plumber added a drain pip onto the drain he installed, Alex added silicone to several places to the shower kit. This seemed to help for a short time, a couple days later the leak started again leaking into the homes basement via the floor onto the basement floor. Alex plumber came alone and re-sealed the shower fixtures. This seemed to solve the issue, until about two or three weeks later when the same leaking issue started worst more water then before. Just to be clear the bathroom floor never was wet the leaking coming from under the shower it goes to the ceiling in the basement that is under the walk-in shower base. We have attempted to reach out to Alex who has been no responsive. We reached out via cell phone and text messages. I strongly believe Alex or his crew member do not know how to fix this problem or putting band aids on the problem. I have a full contract and warranty in writing until 2027 from Colonial Home Improvement. I am seeking a refund of $6000, out of the 6800 at was paid after the 300 credit. I will use these funds to repair or if needed replace the walk-in shower. The original amount was $ 7000. Thank you, ******************** Thank you,Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/05/12) */ After two weeks Alex K**** (Owner), did contact me. He did send an employee out but nothing was resolved shower still leaked. About three weeks later Alex agreed to give me a refund of $6,800 via check. I did receive a check vie mail for 1,200. I was unable to cash it due to insufficient funds. I contacted Alex letting him know the check could not be cashed. We then agreed to settle on $ 4000 in three payments. Alex did send me via Venmo two payments of $1000. He has not made the last payment of $ 2000, and has stop responding. this is the update as of 5/12/22 Thank you,
